Started to make Army Shot style wallpapers a while back and am having quite a bit of fun with it. I split it off from my other fanart thread because I want to keep that one to my drawing practice. Here's the ones I made in order of creation. (Invincible Army was made significantly before it's release, when Tigers were still thought to be in IA). I'm having a lot of fun with them :)
Awesome work! I wish they would stop using the poses and that face that the Hassassin Govad and Leila have though... They really stand out in that group and look quite jarring.
“One does not survive the jungle by fighting cleanly.” Welcoming phrase of Lieutenant Stephen Rao to those who join a unit under his command.
We are the stone our enemies break their backs on. We are the shield that safeguards every Yu Jing citizen, near or far. We are strength incarnate. We are loyal. We are INVINCIBLE!
"You're right Mr. Wilson, there's nothing we can do to stop you. That TAG you're controlling is awfully scary, and your mates in the armor have me shaking. Maybe not physically, but I assure you mentally and definitely emotionally. X-08 servos are standard on that model of Squalo, aren't they? Man, I wish they'd update the firmware that controls those, they're so vulnerable and motors locking up can be an issue. Similar problem for the actuators that run those ORCs' knee joints, only difference being they tend to over-extend if someone were to put their controls to max. The cracking sound makes me shiver, I'm a lightweight. Also I hope you don't keep anything valuable on Mayanet like banking information, personal addresses or locations of family. I'd never say anything would happen with this information as that'd be illegal, I can only warn of the rumors of what happens when someone crosses Tunguska. I urge you to reconsider your actions, if you do not your team's communications equipment will be cut in 5... 4... 3... 2... Goodbye Mr. Wilson." Y3LL0WCR0WN, Tunguska Dragnet Interventor to Oliver Wilson of PanOceania conducting an investigation into an incident involving Tunguskan dealings. I made a Tunguska wallpaper :)
"Are you serious, Spencer? Is that big brain of yours not able to thread a nylon restraint through a metal buckle? This is the second time in a month I've had to come down into this Hell-hole to save your candy-ass and you still haven't thanked me. You're lucky Mother Augustine owes me a favor, 'cuz I'm pretty sure it's gonna take every one of her Mary-fearing freaks to bury your little "science project". No offense Mother Augustine." Augustine gave a gentle nod, her black hood briefly eclipsing her pale face. Her movements were quick but controlled. A spider in her web, accepting a twitch as prey not worth pursuing. "None taken, Miss Reyes, all but the indefensible can be forgiven. The Observance seeks to purge any threat to the faithful here in Bakunin, and Praxis has always been a generous benefactor of our Sisterhood. Do you know where..." A painful, inhuman bellow rattled the walls of the laboratory. Mother Augustine broke her composure with a jump and Spencer tensed his muscles with a sharp inhale through his teeth. The faithful Mother gently tapped a light on her wrist, her body pushing out washed-out copies of her physical form a few inches from her being. They flashed in and out of existence, almost perfectly mimicking her movements in an uncanny valley of circus mirrors. Her escort Sin-Eater came to life, his quietly powerful form snapping to a firing position over her soldier and the pale blue optic behind his visor desperately darting left-to-right to find a heretic worthy of his redemption. He was prepared to unleash a hailstorm of divine mercy down the dimly-lit and damaged corridor that produced the noise, the protection of his Holy charge his only concern. Augustine’s sister Custodier followed suit, activating her Optical Disruption Device as ghost copies enveloped her form in a wispy troupe of cloaked figures. The Morlock they’d brought was starting to get amped up on his chemical dose, his breathing coming in short, deep breaths as his mind drowned in his lust for violence. His fiber-wrapped muscles flexed and twitched in anticipation and his mutters were stitched together with grunts and manic laughter. CHLUNK CHLUNK CHLUNK… PSSSSSSSSSSSSSS… Heavyweight hydraulic feet came to a rest behind the rest, a massive ivory statue stood behind the group, two tiny robots pacing around his feet. His burly crimson arm hoisted a massive belt-fed machine gun into the air, the complex metal cacophony clinking off itself as the living arsenal that was their SWAST Taskmaster readied himself for an assault. Melissa Reyes was the last to ready up, flicking her Riot armor to full readiness. The Nanoweave armor on her body coursed with energy, her muscles and nerves flaring like they’d been swimming in lightning. Her shotgun was readied in a flash, 6 armor-piercing slugs sat poised and ready to rip through a mutant’s tough hide, and 2 flechette shells in case a soft spot presented itself. She nodded at Spencer who had taken cover behind the alabaster SWAST enforcer in the back. “Spencer, I love you, but God do you make my life hard.” He half-chuckled with a cracking voice laden with nerves. Melissa turned her power-armored form to face the corridor. Her visor unfurled around her face, covering her feminine features in unfeeling plastic and aluminum. Her optics burned to life in fluorescent blue light. “Now come and get us, motherfucker.”
