Doesn’t work like that. He stops being a part of the fireteam, the moment he enters a null state or becomes isolated. #2 merely prevents your link from being broken. Krit can rejoin the link for free, during your next order count, not the moment he gets healed up. From the wiki: ‘If the Fireteam has not been cancelled, then the troopers who left will automatically be able to rejoin it if they are again in Coherency with the Team Leader during the Order Count phase of their next Active Turn.” My emphasis.
Being able to grab 3/5 of classifieds are actually very interesting feature about Krit. Really. I'm impressed - more than I was. Good points there.
I don't know why you're impressed when the existing HI link options already do the exact same classifieds.
Because I plan to run him in solo to use his minelayer skill. And I found my link moving skills are not quite good enough yet against top dogs in Korea, so I'm finding a new solution. Thats why.
Ugh. 11pts over a base Zuyong?!? Seriously?!? 4pts from Engineer, 4pts from Automedikit, 2pts from E/Mitter, and probably the last point from the E/Mauler. Would be better if we dropped the Automedikit, he's just too expensive.
Isn't E/mitter essentially free? Looking at wu-ming and pheasants I'm pretty sure it's free or less than 1pts.
Krit also has Courage and +1 CC which impacts price. I think it's 1 point. Or one of those that varies from mysterious shrouded reasons.
Well I'll certainly try him out. If anything, he’s a cool fig. I love E-Maulers, I’m not sure how great they are in the deployment zone or a little bit further up. I don’t feel that bad about the Combi Rifle. Not every character must have some amazing weapon. I just like it more when it’s different from everyone else.
You don't bring the Haidao to cover visors for Highly Classified which is the only mission where classifieds are actually worth building the list around. The Haidao is an ARO piece, so either you're hiding a 37pt ARO piece and now you're failing to project ARO presence, or you put it up and your opponent kills it to deny you the visor. If you're going into Highly Classified with IA you bring a Lu Duan and disguise it in case you need the visor. Realistically you don't bother putting an engineer in the Zuyong link period for Highly Classified, the Haidao is either a KHD or the MSV2 MSR. You're also going to have a Gongcheng because bringing nothing but HI engineers is a stupid idea asking for trouble. The Gongcheng also brings a Yaozao which helps cover you for Test Run being able to jump the stupid thing to potentially get a repairable remote (because they'll shoot your other remotes dead). The Yaozao is also fast and expendable enough to quickly move onto an HVT to cover that classified after the pain train kills the enemy AROs. That profile only does 11 classifieds, he can't do Sabotage because it has no D-Charges. At which point if you want a solo that does classifieds in that price bracket well Tai Sheng also does 11 and she's unlike Krit actually worth her points paying for actually good shit like NCO.
Got that by comparing Yuriko's costs to other profiles with Panzerfausts. Yuriko w Combi+EMitter is 23pts, w/ Combi and Panzerfaust is 24. And a Ghulam with Rifle+LSG and Panzerfaust is 15pts, while a plain Ghulam Rifle+LSG is 12. So a Panzerfaust costs 3pts, and an EMitter is one point less than that.
Tried out the Feuerbach version of mister Kokram in two LI games - against Spiral (Frostbyte) and against MO (the campaign mission Triangulation) - in this kinda silly list with 7 models for the core (took the missilebot because I had 1.5 spare SWC and less than 20 points for the last). A tie against MO (lots of 15's rolled by Zhencha trying to pop the console ate through my pool) and a loss against Spiral in two very fun games. Kokramm test ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 ZÚYŎNG (Fireteam: Duo, Tactical Awareness) HMG / 2 Breaker Pistols, Knife. (1.5 | 38) ZÚYŎNG (Fireteam: Haris, Tactical Awareness) Combi Rifle + 1 TinBot B (Deflector L2) / 2 Breaker Pistols, Knife. (0.5 | 34) TAI SHENG Mk12, Chain-colt, Stun Grenades / Heavy Pistol, Knife. (0 | 45) SHÀNG JÍ (Tactical Awareness) Spitfire / Pistol, Shock CCW. (2 | 45) YÁOZĂO Electric Pulse. (0 | 3) HǍIDÀO Hacker (Killer Hacking Device) Boarding Shotgun / Breaker Pistol, Knife. (0 | 26) SON-BAE Yaókòng Missile Launcher / Electric Pulse. (1.5 | 17) PANGGULING FTO (Repeater) Light Shotgun / Electric Pulse. (0 | 13) ZHĒNCHÁ (Forward Observer) Submachine Gun, D.E.P., Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 34) DĀOYĪNG Lieutenant L2 Hacker (Hacking Device) Boarding Shotgun / Breaker Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 29) Zhanshi YĪSHĒNG Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) 6 SWC | 299 Points Open in Infinity Army (Shangji + Yaozao represent the Krit Kokram's cost) Overall he did not perform as a star in these two games - once died due to OS HRL rocket (opp's list only linkable >24" weapon, he relied on Santiagos) burning 3 wounds in one game and in the other got critted by Neema in Tri-Core. In the second case it was kinda my mistake - I needed to place both HMG and him to overwatch her on the last order (so she would need to split burst if activated) of my active instead of just placing Kokram as the first ARO on her way in positive rangeband. In active, though, he managed to score a few kills from starting at the building. Love Feuerbach spreading a lot of saves around. Both straight-to-dead situations were upsetting since Automedikit roll would have been nice there (and in first game a doctor was nearby but oh well). Anyway having a spare specialist around was nice instead of just dragging around an HRL or sniper. In both games, though, I wished I had the emaulers version of Kokram, since there were a lot of opportunites to catch enemy beefy fireteams in the ARO fork - and Zhencha's mines were not going to be enough against scores of magisters and entrenched Kiel-saan and Neema. Maybe once he is legal I will take that version. (Zhencha critted Neema without mate with a DEP which was hilarious, oh infinity)
Tried Krit minelayer last friday using the following list: Krit Test ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 DĀOYĪNG Lieutenant L2 Hacker (Hacking Device) Boarding Shotgun / Breaker Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 29) TAI SHENG (Chain of Command) Mk12, Chain-colt, Stun Grenades / Heavy Pistol, Knife. (0 | 49) ZÚYŎNG (Fireteam: Duo, Tactical Awareness) HMG / 2 Breaker Pistols, Knife. (1.5 | 38) ZÚYŎNG (Fireteam: Haris, Tactical Awareness) Combi Rifle + 1 TinBot B (Deflector L2) / 2 Breaker Pistols, Knife. (0.5 | 34) ZÚYǑNG Missile Launcher, Light Shotgun / 2 Breaker Pistols, Knife. (2 | 36) HǍIDÀO Hacker (Killer Hacking Device) Boarding Shotgun / Breaker Pistol, Knife. (0 | 26) KRIT KOKRAM (Minelayer) (0 | 42) Zhanshi YĪSHĒNG Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) YÁOZĂO Electric Pulse. (0 | 3) RUI SHI Spitfire / Electric Pulse. (1 | 20) CHAĪYÌ Yaókòng Flash Pulse, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 8) 5.5 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army I was playing engineering deck against a corregidor list featuring an alguacile fireteam with lupe and a tsyklon feurbach, massacre haris with jag and daktari, Mcmurder, intruder HMG, a bunch of flash pulse bot/warcore and a TR drone in a 2nd group with a tomcat and a hacker. I ended up winning 9-1. There were a few decisive roll, and luckily the big one went my way: his tsyklon got pulverized by my unlinked zuyong ML during his second turn. Unfortunately, at this point he was out of command tokens with too little orders left to get the rest of the fireteam back to safety, thus leaving his alguaciles (including the lieutenant) stranded in the middle of nowhere, ripe for the picking. On Krit: Mc murder took his emauler in the face and didn't care, as expected. Otherwise he was pinned down by the tsyklon most of the game and didn't got to act until the third turn when the game was pretty much won. He placed the multiscanner, moved the xenotech inside the objective room, scored a console and wrapped things up by killing the 3 stranded alguaciles. Nothing stellar but he did his job, no more, no less.
Yep, that's my main complaint with the FTO profile. He needs better range bands to justify his cost so he doesn't get so easily pinned like that. Even something as simple as a ditching the shitty Combi-Emitter for a Marksman rifle with an ammo type of your choice would work. As it is for 42 points it is really hard to justify his ass over something like Tai Sheng. Hell for his cost a Hulang is better in a gunfight than he is and is still a specialist and that gets E/M Grenades which is a hell of alot scarier than the E/Mitter.
Doesn't even have to be a Marksman rifle with special ammos. Just a Marksman Rifle would breathe plenty of life into him as is IMO.
The rangeband would synergise better with FD1 anyway. +4" of DZ with a 24" range is actually decent in value letting you reach into your opponent's DZ off the bat. 4" on 16" range isn't particularly helpful.
it ain't even about reaching the DZ, it's about already being in range for the stuff you need to shoot before it shoots you ( Which generally tends to be in the DZ, but not always ofcourse. ).
Well I mean the DZ is where most ARO pieces tend to lurk. Just simple crap like "I need to shoot the warcor because specialists when blinded can't press buttons." not even really thinking about link teams or anything.
