I'm sorry, i'm missing a bit. Seriously. What is so OP in Dashat for having cheap smoke and a linked MSV2? Is it just for the eventual supportware on it? Because i do not see it as a OHMYGODTHESKYISFALLING thing...
I can agree with that, but whenever is cited, it is because of the Rui Shi... >_< Whatever... Move on, nothing to see here... We can go bak to Krit
No one ever cry for this Invincible Army ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 5 ZHANSHI Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 11) ZHANSHI Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 11) ZHANSHI Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 11) ZHANSHI Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 11) HǍIDÀO (Multispectral Visor L2) MULTI Sniper / Breaker Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 37) 1.5 SWC | 81 Points Open in Infinity Army But again, it's not the linked Rui Shi, it is what turns around it Edit: @gorin Rui Shi is only likable in Zuyong... 27+ point, not 12
are u realy think 3 and 5 dice is the same thing? ABH is wildcards, so they replase all zuyongs and they are 12 pts
All but one, you need to leave one so the Core is a Zhuyong one. Simple: Remote with supportware (ignores cover, adds shock), SS2, +1 burst for a Burst 4 weapon, +3 to BS, hich mobility, tons of disposable smoke, and extreme order efficiency, you can place tons of smoke in the table, then have 10 orders to go around with the RuiShi around, and still have extra orders and specialists. At least, their midgame is not broken, with the Hunzakut being the only cheap infiltrating specialist. But the amount of cheap remotes they can place is absurd XD Doesn't make it less predictable about what will you face against this sectorial, however... That is a game design problem (not really a bad thing, just a problem that cannot be avoided): since there is no way to "cheap" expensive units (for example, "take this unit(s) and discount X from that unit(s)"), and all the wave of sectorials non-NA2 in the last year have been designed with LI in mind (or at least it looks like it), having the most expensive units in the faction there is... ugh. I would have liked to have a Ghost: Servant for the Marut in OSS so she could fire Smoke, frankly. That would allow for her full loadout to be used, at least, in all situations.
You don't have to. You declare it to be a Zuyong core, and then fill it with things that can be a part of Zuyong core, which is Rui Shi and 4 ABH. There is no place that says it has to contain a Zuyong. Ironically, it might be a good idea to put in a Zuyong in there anyway, to provide Deflector L2 to your Rui Shi.
Centerpiece units? That is more of a preferential thing. I will play Operations and rarely, if ever bring an Ashura or a Marut. Yadu and Rudra link would be my centerpiece. Or Apsara and Dakini Fireteam. These are unique style links or something new to try that I can’t quite do in any other sectorial. And why do we need to call it a “game design problem” that you can’t remove skills and costs from elite units to min-max their load out for very specialized situations or particular list building to accommodate other units? That would be design intent. Otherwise you might as well turn the game into every model is a Spec-Op and in this case you’ve fundamentally altered the design of the game, the art and release strategy with no need for different units, different concepts, etc..
So the famous topic derailer arrived. It was a pleasant time talking here, gentlemen. See you after this topic gets closed. ;)
hmmm Varuna is extremely spammy OSS is spammy Spiral works best in big group + helots because helots are a non-brainer and counterintelligence Tunguska despite pricey units works better in 2 groups since it has counterintelligence Only IA has proper synergies for LI, imo. But every faction can build a nasty 1 group list these days
I said that you can't get a discount on one or several certain units when picking another one. Like being able to align a Marut and an Asura in OSS for a little less price, or allowing you to place a third netrod if you want... That is not the same as "let's take away parts of the loadout to decrease the cost". All can be spammy with enough 4-8pts remotes. Spiral, as Dashat, would be in the NA2 phrase I explcitely mention do not follow the LI trend... Tunguska has so many complaints about how difficult is to play with more than 12-13 models (no extras). OSS is certainly not spammy, unless all OSS lists start with 2 Netrods and as many cheap bots & CSUs as you can fit. And certainly, lists that go for spam there won't place a Yadu Core, but a Dakini one. Back on topic, Krit is a clear example of the Infintiy Syndrome: he offers nothing unique, tries to cover several fields, and manages to cost too much for each of those. The problem is that, as engineer, the Haidao is 10pts cheaper. So we start with the limitations: either run with 2 engineers in the Core, or, if preferring to spread functions, use a Haidao KHD + Krit... but the Haidao KHD is BTS0 WIP13, so he's a mediocre hacker (that is also hard to kill, thanks to being inmunne to Shock). But why do I want to bring a regular KHD to a Core when I can bring a repeater, in the form of a Shotgun-wielding Pangguling? One way I think Krit may be useful would be to give him, besides his predictable Wildcard, a Dúo with the Guijia... it's a really expensive pairing, both are hackable... dunno.
Haidao in the Zuyoung fireteam is one of the best hackers in the game (missing the repeater net, alas), also has protection from Maestro.
Also, moving the KHD into the ZoC of a Repeater allows you to use your opponent's network against them, something a Repeater can't do.
