I do want Feuerbach - YJ seems to lack that new age weapon. Characters need superb weapons aside from K1 shitniper rifle. Mines or Grenades would be nice, but since he's forwarned as Automedikit+Engineer profile I fear him costing 40+ due to pure equipment bloat.
Zuyong HMG LT has Automedikit at 39 points. Use that as starting point. If this dude comes with a combi, he'll be at about 36 prior to statline buffs and currently unknown skills.
Yup. He got that when the various Sniper Rifles had a -6 range band (that the XV2 completely removed). I think Sun2 lost that visor with HSN3.
Well, since the description says that he has automedikit and several heavy pistols his presence in my lists is even more questionable. My usual link composition (single group list) is : taisheng, khd haidao, ta hmg, ta combi zyong, boarding/paramed zyong. And here's only one model I'll switch for Krit. And i won't do this in case he's just a spec troop with combi and pistols, cos it's obvious that his costage will be at least the same as paramed. IMHO he needs to be either cheap or be able to add orders (ta or nco) to have place in core link. If he'll have nco skill, then perhaps he'll be able to replace taisheng, in case of costage advantage of course
If he isn't packing atleast an HMG or a Feuerbach, he will never find a spot in my list tbh, not with what info has been shown so far. Automedikit is a Hail Mary and never worth the cost, which is a disappointing information to get, when he already have skills/equipment to bloat his points.
We have the Haidao already. why get a more expensive engineer that's also Vulnerable to EM in a HI linkteam? In my opinion, This guy needs to have a major selling argument or is gonna be useless. And an automedikit on 12s is not one. we can see how much the automedikit HMG is used compared to the TA one.
In an ordinary sectorial without TA, the Automedikit LT is a really solid profile, but it's got two shortcomings; 1) Automedikit is about 3 points too expensive and 2) you can't roll for it prior to order count. If the non-LT Automedikit was 1 SWC just like the LT version was, there would also be an argument for its continued existence inside IA.
I find it only worth it in a linkteam with a nº2. because you can take the automedikit and get back inside the fireteam without spending command tokens. But again, health care at 12s without the chance to rerroll is not so great
Does anyone know if the automedkits have come down in cost with the new shas? If it was cheaper for being a shit piece of equipment it could be worth.
It's a good thing The Shrouded are literally Zeros with Shasvasti rule. It's harder to estimate the cost of Shasvasti, but Automedikit seems unchanged in price.
Best case scenario: Krit gets a good gun. We know the entire idea of him being cheap is a pipe dream and that no matter how hard we stretch his costs down with gear as cheap as possible, he's going to be in or near Tai Shengs cost range. So best case scenario would be ''He is a specialist who has good combat capabilities.'' Which wouldn't be so bad: Can qualify for some classifieds, can fix up some stuff, can kill some stuff if need be, can be coupled with a G:Servant for aggressive G:servant plays. A strictly just decent toolbox. Could probably see Vanilla use at the very least. Worst case scenario: They give him a Combi Rifle and what we get is essentially an Engineer Zuyong for 35-ish points and maybe some extra stats. Could at least make the rifle a Breaker then.
I've still got my fingers crossed for some interesting weapons like a grenade launcher or maybe mines.
Full bingo! CrazyKoalas, Mine Dispenser, Sensor, Light Grenade Launcher and double Heavy Pistols. All the tools! (And Fatality and Full-Auto and and and) But seriously, a bit super-toolboxy could work if if he'd give Mowang a run for their cost at much lower stats.
So many cool things he could get, but I will expect only a combi rifle. This way I'm not disappointed when the profile is out.
Then sadly he's going to be an amazing shelf warmer. Why even bother to release such a redundant profile for a sectorial full of limitations that begs for a bit more flexibility, in a faction already hurting for options in comparison with the rest of factions? Specially when lately the other factions are getting incredible toolbox units wonderfully optimized.
