So after settling on the list I'll be using for the Firefight mission for our shop's upcoming tournament, I can now pay attention to the one list that will have to run double duty on Quadrant Control and Capture and Protect!

I still want to maintain the basic core of two Myrmidon Enomotarchos fireteams, but this time changing up the support from two snipers to two different units that I've been meaning to try out:

Team ALEPH - Quandrant Control / Capture and Protect
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────

    [IMG]10 [IMG]3
PHOENIX Heavy Rocket Launcher, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / Heavy Pistol, DA CCW. (2 | 40)
MACHAON Lieutenant Combi Rifle, Nanopulser, Eclipse Grenades / Pistol, DA CCW. (0.5 | 38)
MYRMIDON Chain Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 16)
MYRMIDON Chain Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 16)
    EUDOROS Mk12, Nanopulser, Eclipse Grenades / Pistol, DA CCW. (0 | 40)
AJAX 2 Combi Rifles, Nanopulser / AP Heavy Pistol, EXP CCW. (0 | 39)
MYRMIDON Chain Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 16)
MYRMIDON Chain Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 16)
PENTHESILEA Combi Rifle, Contender, Nanopulser / Pistol, Monofilament CCW. (0 | 41)
SCYLLA Hacker (Killer Hacking Device UPGRADE: Maestro) Boarding Shotgun, Nanopulser + 2 Devabots Charybdis / Pistol, E/M CC Weapon. (0.5 | 34)
[IMG] DEVABOT CHARYBDIS Heavy Flamethrower / Electric Pulse. (7)

I've seen that our dear Penny gets some hate for not being the best biker, however the speed mixed with the ODD makes her quite interesting for the Capture and Protect mission. Possibly being able to get in and out with the enemy beacon whilst being supported by one of the Myrmidon links.

Scylla on the other hand I don't plan on spending more than one order on to put her and her dear Charybdis bots into Cybermask. I feel like in both Quadrant Control and Capture and Protect she'd have an important role to play in defending zones quite effectively.

I'd appreciate any feedback on this list as well. You guys were amazingly helpful with the previous one!

Penthesilea + Scylla = Achilles + IA Beacon. Hyper-fast 75 pts, have fun!

    Example :

    Steel Phalanx

MACHAON Combi Rifle, Nanopulser, Eclipse Grenades / Pistol, DA CCW. (0.5 | 38)

I was actually thinking of using Achilles instead of Penny and Scylla, but had something like this in mind:

    Steel Phalanx
    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────

    [IMG]10 [IMG]1
ACHILLES Lieutenant Spitfire, Nanopulser / Pistol, EXP CC Weapon. (2.5 | 75)
PATROCLUS (CH: Mimetism) Fireteam: Duo (Achilles v2)) MULTI Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, EXP CCW. (0 | 51)
PHOENIX Heavy Rocket Launcher, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / Heavy Pistol, DA CCW. (2 | 40)
    EUDOROS Mk12, Nanopulser, Eclipse Grenades / Pistol, DA CCW. (0 | 40)
MYRMIDON Chain Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 16)
MYRMIDON Chain Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 16)
    ALKÊ Spitfire, Nanopulser / Pistol, CCW. (1.5 | 25)
THORAKITES (Forward Observer, 360º Visor) Submachine gun, Chain Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 13)
THORAKITES (360º Visor) Submachine gun, Chain Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 12)
THORAKITES (360º Visor) Submachine gun, Chain Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 12)

The Thorakites link benefits from the Foward Deployment from being MI - so for both scenarios it's quite advantageous! With Achilles + Patroclus to run up and wreck house and the Myrmidon link to follow up behind them.

I would replace Eudoros by Machaon and upgrade the 2 thora to FO - being FO gives them flash pulse. In a fireteam with 360° vision, it's a big defensive strengh.

I agree it would be better, but that's an extra 0.5 SWC and an extra 2 C that I can't afford on the list whilst maintaining the Fireteam Duo and keeping Phoenix. It's why only one of the Thorakites has FO actually.

You could change Alke for Thrasymedes (an overall better thorakitai enomotarkos btw), but then you would need more points.

On the whole, i wonder if you're not trying to put too many big names in one list. I mean, Achilleus + Patroclus duo, plus a big myrm link, plus a thorakitai link. You'll end with many spitfire (that will all do the same thing, being assault weapons) and few long range / ARO weapons.

I would prefer either this one:
    Steel Phalanx

MYRMIDON Chain Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 16)
THRASYMEDES (Fireteam: Enomotarchos) Submachine gun, Light Rocket Launcher, Nanopulser, Stun Grenades / Pistol, Shock CCW. (0.5 | 30)

With Diomedes as a. nasty surprise to either clean up a path for Achilles by removing these annoying long range MSV ARO or AHD, or to exploit a hole Achilles made

Or this one, probably more balanced
    Steel Phalanx

Where Achilles is still your main attack piece, your myrms are a stronger midfield team (combi and BSG allows for more options, especially in ARO, and dont forget they all have nanopulsers if you need direct templates), the thorakitai are a good secondary ARO source with Thrasymedes (ODD LRL) and his flashpulse buddies. And you have a good MSV2 troop, able to use all that smoke to remove the long range ARO threaths for Achilles.

I really like both of these lists. There aren't many lists in SP that I don't like haha

Diomedes seems like they can really be a crazy good surprise troop. Especially considering he could land next to the enemy beacon in Capture and Protect, right?

All the ekdromos are nasty surprises for your opponent. They have an unusually high PH score for an AD troop (most AD have 10 or 11, they have 13 !), so you may consider using AD4 instead of AD2 (especially if you can benefit from additionnal bonuses from a hacker or the scenario) and you have a wide range of troops from the cheap chain rifle ekdromos to big Diomedes himself. Remember that all ekdromos have stealth (courtesy of martial arts) and superjump. They are best used at hunting cheerleaders, cheap LT hidden prone on a roof, hidden specialists (hackers ...).
Their only specialist is a AHD, which i find it a bit sad because you need to consider repeater and KHD before landing/moving (even if stealth helps). But they can also be used to reach some objectives or take care of some hackable target. Speaking of objectives, you can also use their DA CCW, high CC/PH score, and MA2 to detroy sceneries objectives (looting and sabotaging ...) They are definitely situationnal but powerful troops

Just a detail: as far as I remember, stealth works for short movement skills, but AD is a long skill. So your landing spit really needs to be outside of repeater range.

True, but you can then move inside without provoking any ARO as long as the hacker has no LOS on you and you are doing only short moves (which includes jumping because of superjump)

I've been lucky so far without poeple in the shop using hackers. We're all still new to the game so it hasn't come up too often.
