    @ijw, @HellLois and everybody else :face_with_rolling_eyes:

    I know this has been discussed to death in the past but can I get a definitive answer:

    Do you measure the distance of Speculative Fire to the main target or the point of impact when firing none-Smoke Grenades?

    To the main target; there is no rule that tells you otherwise.

    Range is the distance between the attacker and target, nothing in the speculative fire skill overrides this distinction.

    Like the others said, range is measured to the target. No exception is given for the template being placed off-centre.

    @ijw @Cartographer @toadchild

    Thank you very much. :slightly_smiling_face: The rule regarding measurement to a target is indeed very clear but since we are no native speakers, my mates tried to misunderstand the particular rules for Speculative Fire as hard as they could without reading them properly. So I wanted some outside confirmation.

    Don't worry, there are plenty of native speakers that do that as well!

    That is indeed completely counter intuitive. I would have keep doing that if not for some references people to tell me otherwise.

    I was one of those who thought differently, and I was measuring to the impact focus of the template.
    To be honest. I thought that I should mark impact focus, and indicate the main target. Now I can see, that in fact with Speculative Fire I can move the template around to get the best spot! Not a game changer, but quite important.

    Good to know I was wrong last few years :)
