So, the French Satellite will take place this week-end in the Paris' southern suburb and I'll be there as one of the few PanO players. Here is how fun this will be : Roster is : Deadly dance, Highly classified and Acquisition for the first day. Unmasking and Supplies for the second one. Scarface is allowed with no tax for ASS, ISS, HB and every Ariadna armies excepted MRRF. The meta of this tournament is a bit surprising though...
What's surprising here ? Fact that Nomads vanilla is damn popular ? This is a surprise ?o0 (ok, lack of Varuna is a surprise)
No general Combined Army, no Shasvastii, no TAK (they don't have super TAG, but you can counter play TAGs) and no Varuna. That many japanese is also surprising. I guess a lot of these players are in love with these gorgeous new minis.
Lack of Shasvastii is no surprise if someone did not collect them earlier (very much earlier) then probably is waiting for a wave of new models to start collection.
As a JSA Player I probably would be very exited about getting to slice up a few TAGs with Mono CCWs for once.
FRRM already have access to the Anaconda, VanAriadna and it's the other sectorials have no native TAG access.
Presumably because they already have a TAG in their Sectorial roster, so they don't need help getting access to one like those other armies do. Edit: Ninja'd!
That's the idea ... not sure there arem any MRRF player left except myself and a few others anyway ;D But I did not expect the Deadly dance and Higly Classified to be such a deterrance for Ariadna players. Especially why the new classify missions and when we made sure to have only one mission with exclusion zone. But maybe it has nothing to do with the missions ... the two organizers (MattBab and myself are Ariadna players so maybe that is just us not attending).
So, the tournament is over. It was a super nice event with amazing tables and opponents. I'm happy to see that we had some players who made the travel from the baltic countries and Russia as this shakes up the habits of everyone. I hope they had a good time here. Here is the top 10: 1. Weran Nomad 15 pts 2. Vulkan Aleph 12 pts 3. Aemaru Spiral Corp 11 pts 4. Arkille1 Aleph 11 pts 5. Ayadan Military Orders 10 pts 6. saturn ASA 10 pts 7. Imkariel Spiral Corp 10 pts 8. Zirow NCA 9 pts 9. karolis Nomad 9 pts 10. Korwin StarCo 9 pts I'll do a batrep later for those interested. I had 3 major victories, 1 tie and a loss. I could have done better and win the one I lost as a minor victory but then I would have faced different opponents and who knows what would have happened. But what I can say is that I was pretty satisfied of my lists. There wasn't any trooper I wish I had instead of another. I just wished I would have been able to link the MSV2 sergeant because this would have made some games less intensive for my brain (as I am dyspraxic so I have hard time to stay focused all along a day full of games).
Yes, they weren't expecting this themselves as they did their lists on the rush. Both of them only played their lists this week. But you have to take in count that they are rather skilled players and seasoned Tohaa players too. They are not placed there just because they were playing Spiral. And it is the same for the two Aleph players: they are part of the top 5 french players. Everyone was expecting them in the top 10.
How did that MO player reach 5th place? Damn. Very well played to that guy. I find it amusing that out of 4 pano players, 3 placed in the top 3. Awesome job guys. P.S. Oh, YOU were the MO play. Well damn, great job. lol I'm looking forward to your battle reps.
Here is the WIP write up: https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threa...urney-at-the-2nd-merovingian-satellite.28436/ I still have to write the battle reports for the four last games but you have the lists and tables as well as my lists and why I chose to build them this way. I apologize to everyone about my English. Ask if you don't understand what I'm saying.
