Moving through the Objective Room took you to doors out of sight of the green containers, allowing movement within 24" of it. A Cautious Move from the holo-ad under the landing pad to behind one of the cones would get you to within 16" of the green containers. Going up the ladder on the card buildings on the left, behind the blue crate, within 24" of most of the green container. Advancing through the garage took you through a door that was hidden from almost all of the green crates, behind the power generator, again getting within 24" of the green container. So no, that's b*llocks, even ignoring Infiltrators on the landing pad shooting down onto the container from within 16".
Always a gentleman. How are you finding the new Shas? Looks like they have a lo of fairly quirky rules.
Getting used to keeping track of too many Camo markers again has been... fun. But they’re great. So far they’ve not been massively overpowered, but list- building is really diverse.
Hi everyone! Please see attached for the ending results and scoreboards. I'll be posting them as links because the Infinity forums are really weird with image sizes. I appreciate being able to see the lists people took because it gets me thinking in a different way, but I also don't want Infinity to get net-listy. It isn't really the kind of game that lends itself to that, but I can see people trying to, especially new players.
Thanks for posting all that info! Vohlere doesn‘t seem to be on the forums, anyone has an idea on why he build list B like that?
I'd guess the plan was to be able to switch between the two core fireteams as needed. The 3 man Yadu core (2 Yadu plus Rudras) and the 3 man Dakini core (Deva, CSU and Dakini).
I don't think "net listing" is a big deal as it would be in other games. Variety in lists comes down to playstyle choices. If a certain link team is really good or if certain units hold great utility, they will find their way into many lists because good players will say "That's a good unit/team" well before someone sees it on a winner's list.
I agree with you up to a point, @Click2kill. I don't think those of us that have been playing for a while would really be keen on trying someone else's list. I'm more concerned for newer players, that still don't have a good grasp of the game, seeing these lists and thinking they are an easy path to success. But due to a lack of context on how to use the list they don't succeed, get frustrated, and quit. I'm a pessimist at heart though, so I'm probably overreacting
I completely agree that newer players sometimes need community support to understand the problems attached to net-listing, but I think the „great players win large events, not great lists“ mindset is widespread. I just wanted to add that I as a long time player actually really enjoy playing someone elses lists from my own factions as well as ones I don’t collect myself. I think there is a lot of fun in trying to get other peoples lists to work for you, trading lists and armies with a frequent opponent or also challenging someone else to play outside of their comfort zone.
List 2 was the Harris of the 2 Yadu and the Rudras (The Rudras' climbing plus did SO much work it's crazy) The Deva and CSU went up as a duo. The key with this list was board coverage while sticking to my '10 orders only' rule. I got into Infinity for the idea that you only need 10 models, just trying to prove that it's still competitive with the right lists. The Marut came out for the more direct action missions and did amazing as usual too.
