I *knew* that Su-Jian was cool! Thanks! And what about other YJ troops? Is there anything that might end up resculpted soon?
Oh! Does it make sense to pick up the ISS starter now, then? Maybe the design for the Celestial Guards will get changed completely...
The ISS starter is still pretty new and up to the standard. The swc box will have the same design. Gesendet von meinem SM-J500FN mit Tapatalk
Yes, as Antares has said, the Celestial Guards with special weapons will be of the same design as the ones on the ISS Starter. However, the complaining of the community was that it is an unnecessary box, to an extent (the Zanshi box was more demanded, because of Invincible Army being supposed more in need of a cheap defensive fireteam, while ISS has the Bao, Wu Ming, etc...). That being said, if you play ISS you usually don't need more than one to three Celestial Guards, to control the Kuang Shi and throw Smoke grenades for the Hsien (the Core tends to be 1 celestial + 4 kuangshi).
They're a pair of hotshot volley guns from 40k Kasrkin cut and attached to the spitfires that come with the Rui Shi. The guns are mounted either side of one of the mountable cameras that come with Yaokongs with some greenstuff work to help fill out the join underneath the guns. My camera is shitty but here's another angle if it helps
Ah, but the CG that controls the Kuang Shi is in the SWC box! (I know... I should use a proxy) Thanks for all the info! On the other hand... meh, I must admit I'm not entirely sold on playing the YJ. They are kind of... oppressive. Cool units, unpleasant faction... I just don't know... :\
In ISS starter, female CG is holding a pistol and is great KS device proxy. We are still not sure, which profiles will be in the box. It can be 4 out of spitfire/sniper/hacker/lgl/KS control device/boarding shotgun.
Finally got around to painting the Husong. Wasn't a fan of the pringles can HMG so I picked something that could actually put a dent in a TAG. Gun mount is magnetized so it can just be removed and turn into a Chai-Yi or something else if I want.
It's a Crisis suit burst cannon from Gamesworkshop mounted on top of a multi tracker from a crisis suit. The drum mag at the back was cut off and repositioned so it'd fit properly and I added some more knobs around the back of the multi tracker to simulate the 360 visor camera lenses. There's a magnet mounted in the middle of the V at the back of the remote. The multi tracker just has a couple of strips of metal glued to the bottom of it so it'll stick in position on the magnet. I cut metal strips using a staple for the material.
