It has a couple FT options and you could potentially use all three. Off the bat, I'm thinking defensive Ghulam link, Tarik + 2 Mukhtars, and Leila + Sneaky Rafiqi as a duo. - Defensive link defends - Tarik takes a midfield position and sprays fools...at the end of the turn, he hops a roof and 2/3 of those guys suppress - Duo is kind of a pincer...Leila is on the loose killing enemy infowar and the bot boosted with Marksmanship kills targeted enemy ARO pieces that are too dangerous to risk Tarik. Weaknesses - it doesn't have CoC and, IMO, Ramah on the whole has a problem with reactive turn due to (1) poor midfield presence and (2) mediocre AROs.
If you intend on using the rafiq aggressively, maybe swap it into group 2? Right now you’ve got 4 orders in there without much to spend them on. You could swap in Leila as well if you want to link them.

Did fine clearing the Zerat Hacker with Stun Pistol. Which opened an approach vector for my Jannissaries. Late in the game she also managed to activate the antenna on the left, though I was unlucky enough to fail to activate it in my first attempt. Touareg. Had to remain in HD, as the entire enemy fireteam ran through her position. But she managed to get to the antena on the right, and activate it (on her second attempt!). Good enough. Rafiq Red Fury. Did nothing noteworthy, but that's because I had no Orders to spend on it. Got fried by the Suryat with Vulcan Shotgun. The Fireteam - two Janissaries, two Hortlak Jannissaries and Namurr. Namurr's 6-2 Move was pretty useful for Order efficiency, she took down the Yaogat sniper (alowing the Nahab to land and deal with the hacker), then glued down the Kurgat with ADHL. The Hortlaks didn't had a chance to shine, but they were inexpenisve team fillers, and with their SMG / Blitzen loadouts, they provided me with useful defensive troops. Janissary ML counted to her name the MedChanoid, Ikadron, and Raktorak (who carelessly wandered into her line of fire on my opponent's Active turn), then took a bullet from the HMG, and on my next turn followed the enemy team. She took down the HMG, but was eventually AROed by the HRL, and died. The Doc managed to Follow up the HVT (on his second try), and fail to Kidnap the HVT (I had no Orders for a retry). Special mention goes to the Najjarun, who was trading point-blank shots with the last Suryat, managed to wound it, withstand all attempts at Stunning him, and finally dealt a crippling blow to the HI with a parting shotgun blast. The Naffatun, well, didn't had much to do, so simply sat on her butt in cover. Kornak was trying to get to her in last desperate move, but failed.
Thook these five units in a list, thinking "Eh I dont need a core, I will just haris up the board and these guys can watch my back li-wait...:counts: These guys all count as Ghulam...I HAVE A CORE!"
Played a game with this list today vs. Tohaa. We were playing MICS with 3 private objectives and 3 shared objectives revealed each turn (Texas Holdem, 3 in the river). I took first turn in the roll-off. I could have potentially taken second turn and used a command token + links to mitigate damage but I wanted to take Tarik for a test drive and figured 10-2+2 LT orders would net me 10 orders to pump into Space Marine Bin Laden...why not. Tarik and the 2 Mukhtar spent the first turn maneuvering against opponents and picking off triad members using Superjump. The majority of my orders went into this effort, netting me 5 enemy down. I ended the Tarik Purge (tm) with Tarik on a second level rooftop prone on suppression, the Mukhtar viral rifle on suppression, and the boarding shotgun Mukhtar netting an objective point. My second order pool focused on (1) protecting Tarik and preparing for Reactive. The Monstrucker climbed the building that Tarik was hiding in, in the midfield, plopped a drop bear by the stairs to his position and went on Suppression. The EVO JamielTheKameel dropped B2 on all of the flash pulse bots. Without details, the rest of the turns proceeded in much the same fashion...re-linking, engaging targets with B5 Tarik in the Haris, then defending these troops in the reactive turn. Lessons Learned Ramah struggles in the reactive turn. Overclocking a Rafiq and 3x Fugazi is critical to mid to long-range AROs. The Monstrucker's climbing plus and surplus of orders was critical for ensuring near defense. I was extremely impressed by the Monstrucker and really believe that, with creative use of orders, she can protect a midfield jumpy unit like Tarik or the Khawarij Spitfire very well. Ramah's tools of the trade (Viral and Nanopulsers) are less effective against high-BTS aliens. Definitely fall back on high B conventional bullets in these matchups. Statistics tell us Tarik will crit ~40% of the time throwing 5 dice. Number of crits rolled with Fatality L2 Tarik in a 3-link in this game: 0. Not complaining at all, because he generally killed everything he aimed at, but the internet meltdown over this unit is overblown. FWIW, I rolled 6 or 7 FTF rolls with Tarik which equates to 24-35 dice depending on whether he was in a team at the time. As a Haris component, Tarik is great. I like being able to roll him into the midfield and shoot fools with 5 dice, then jump out of the link using his 2 LT orders and set up defensively. Last order includes command token to slap Suppressive Fire on everyone.
Against semi-competent AROs (so generally units of different quality in a Core) Fat2 with B5 provides something like +10-17%, which is an equivalent of +2 BS (think less that Mimetism) against linked line troopers, or along the lines of what addition of Full Auto L2 does to your odds against linked mimetics with average BS. It is considerable against stronger mods, but not that unprecedented as you would think listening to some people including myself.

Got to say, the Jann ML is brutal if you aren't shooting at it with the right guns. Tarik picked off anything that got close while the core held down longer firelanes. Once the board was a little more open the Haris moved up and managed to pick off a good amount of models. Highlights for them are jumping them on top of a building, breaking the link and coordinating specfire grenades at the models (3) behind the building. Khawarij feel a little weak just sitting in the middle of the board, even with cover they go down too easily to bullets and chain rifles. The Janns providing cover for them helped a lot. This was my first game with Tarik, I think I put one wound down because of a crit? The other Khawarij actually pulled a lot of weight during the active turn. The Muhktar pulled a huge amount of weight, hunting down Mcmorrough, a bunch of SAS, and a Cataran. They also felt a lot stronger in reactive, especially in tighter terrain. The extra wound over the Khawarij and being able to drop a ton of nanopulsars can deter a lot of aggression. Although they still die to bullets. They spent most of the game hanging out behind a wall in the middle of the board, poking out during active to discover camo and shoot things, then ducking back with the ML and Shihab to cover them. The Monstrucker is decent for being such a cheap Engineer. (0 | 30) 5.5 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army Played this v TAK in supplies. He went first and used smoke and a bunch of bikes to grab the boxes and take them to his deployment zone. This game was mostly about the Mukhtar slowly pushing up through tons of camo and a linked frontovik sniper. The red fury went down to a shotgun on reactive but the doc and viral rifle still managed to clear the way. His last turn Pavel used camo to get into CC with the mukhtar and demolish them, then do the same to the Tuareg who had grabbed the last box. MVP for this game was the Nahab who stayed off the table til the last turn, used the depleted board to walk into the DZ, and shotgun both of his supply box carriers. Having the Rafiq in group two helping with discovering camo was also very useful, the Mukhtar probably couldn't have done it all by themselves. I think Ramah is decently strong in general. The link teams are incredibly flexible and your active turn can be brutal. I think the key to doing really well with them is to spend time setting up for reasonably safe reactive turns. The slow pushes with the Mukhtar, keeping them generally safe from retaliation, made them a lot more effective than spending a ton of orders to get as many kills as possible. Or even spending those orders to go for one more kill but leaving them exposed after. Saving 2 or 3 orders to pull back whatever your aggressive pieces are into the overwatch from defensive pieces will go a long way. Either team can be your defense or offense, both teams have NCO, each team can be tailored to be good against whatever kind of target you need to shoot at. That's my take on Ramah right now.
Viral rifles: I wouldn't call two profiles of a single unit a tool of the trade. Bananopulsers are fine, but definitely not a main weapon, as well as viral pistols. :) From my point of view, RTF's feature is the freaking mobility on non-hackable pseudo-HI
I am also thinking that RTF may struggle reactively without disposable order soaks to jam up the enemy. The mid-range ARO duty is on an overclocked Rafiq and the two Fanous; they give me the B2 Flash Pulse/Red Fury that I need to really slow up lighter troops. Close range ARO duty is on the Mukhtar team, whose B2 in ARO with Mimetism, NWI, templates etc can protect me from a bumrush assault. The infiltrated Nahab can also block a chokepoint pretty effectively. Active turn, the order sinks are the Mukhtar team, Tuareg and Nahab, and the Rafiq if necessary. They're all fast and/or start up the board so they can move quickly onto objectives and grab them, or claim zones, and they have some effective gunfighting and killing power (Mukhtar Haris especially, but also the TO Camo from the Tuareg, or the Rafiq with MML2 from the EVO). If I face heavy camo, then the sniffers can move up and the Rafiq can easily reveal them all. I'm going to give this a few tries but I think it'll be pretty solid. It is, however, definitely more appropriate for scenarios like Supplies where you can send objective guys forward and defend a position, rather than something like Supremacy or Frontline. In that situation I'll need a link that can move more aggressively, and thus... Hermetic lab i lost due to jammers, but i made sure to punish him by leaving almost no one alive except an interventor, specter, and heckler. The muktar and namurr did work on this one.
Namurr feels like an awesome choice for The Armoury. I'm definitely considering running a duo just for that mission
Yeah, she ate 2 crazy koalas, and a nanopulser by dodges alone. Also being able to say f**k it, emarat a linked brigada, and afford to take a wound anyways was worth it. Also the namurr can and did join thr ghulam link both games. Thr best thing about the new units is that 6 inch movement coupled with NWI is worth its weight in gold when it comes to being on the move gunfighters.
I made this goofy list and I am tempted to build it. The basic strategy would be to use the shihabs as T1 ARO, then move up with the Fanous in a coordinated order to deploy sniffers. I would then engage with either the Rafiqs or the Maggie. I would either duo the maggie and a rafiq or duo the two rafiqs. The Kameel EVOs would buff the Shihabs and Rafiqs as well as playing hacker defense. Visually I enjoy the mama spider and her babies scuttling around the table. I'm sure another faction could do the TAG + Remotes better however. This is what I'm thinking. The second scenario is The Armoury and the third is Looting and Sabotage and I feel like Namurrs would be awesome for both tbh. Nahabs too.
