Ikari Co: Brawler Getting my army theme colours down with this one. I enjojed playing with the camo (been a long time since I painted any). It may be awhile before I get much more painting done as my wife is coming home from a long holiday, so happy and sad in equal measure lol!
Nice Ikari's! Fatboi is just amazing =D And since there is no CSU in Ikari I wonder how you use her? Also, how that scheme looks next to your JSA units in terms of cohesiveness?
Not really sure as yet, it's more that she is a merc and the list can be adapted to go under that generic category. This was why her colours are not Ikari. TBH I just got her so I could use the shotgun, but I like her anyways so wanted to paint her up. Scheme is quite a contrast to my JSA, which is intentional. However I may drop back the green bits to blue/green, despite it being a colour triad, since it really "pops" a little too much.

INFINITY JSA: Karakuri Project JSA had to reprogram some pleasure gynoids due to attrition from the uprising... so my fluff goes... Scary and sexy killer robots - What's not to like! I was never a fan of the studio models as they just don't seem creepy or sexy enough for what they are supposed to be. Being a GITS fan I wanted to pay homage to the creepy dolls in Innocence as well as the Geishas in the Live Action Movie with their soulless faces. I converted the models using Hong Kong Killer Fembots by Statuesque Miniatures, heads from Hanako by Hasslefree Miniatures, and guns from the Infinity range, plus a bit of greenstuff for good measure. Very happy that this long gestating plan finally came into fruition. Shout out to Section9 for the helpful advice on minis to use for such a project! You really are a bastion of knowledge sir! I knew those minis would make a great Karakuri conversion! I like the originals, but always welcome interesting conversions, which these are, and with a good justification, even. What i didn't even remotely consider was getting sacrificial minis to harvest their heads, always hoped that somebody would make spare geisha heads we could use. Great job!
Thanks! It’s true that I almost regretted cutting of the heads of such nice minis from hasslefree, when they arrived in the post, but it had to be done sadly lol! Truth is that it took me months of scouring the net for a mini geisha head and it was just impossible to find a good one, let alone a conversion set of heads only. I settled on Hanako as she was such a nice sculpt and the scale was near enough to infinity. To top this off, HF was largely out of action for the first part of the year so it took ages to be able to order 3 hanakos. In the end I was happily surprised they were back in action recently and was able to get some ;-)
