What do you use as proxy for the Puppet Master?

I was thinking about the Comm-Tech from Dire Foes 3 with the tablet in her hand.

I also wondered if the HEXX3R nomad witch was too tall...
    Does anybody know?

Yadu Troopers. It looks like they wear a VR helmet.

I use a Haqq Engineer and servant bots as puppets. My final servant is Pi-Well.

In my last tournament one of my opponents used the midnight sun analyst to represent the puppet master, in my opinion is excellent.

Dart, she had a VR helm and a submachine gun.

I doubt it's too tall, you'll probably be deploying her prone anyway. Also, the Umbra models are significantly taller than their S value, so it's not like it matters much.

    +1 for Dart.

I've been wanting to play Nomad's for a little while, and found these miniatures, thinking they could be used for the puppetbots. What do you think? They should be about 20mm tall.

They are from the White Dragon miniature company. Of course, they could not be used in a tournament, but among friends they should do the trick!

They look like some not to complex combat robots.
    I quite like it.
Just keep in mind that the puppets are only S1.

I figured 20mm would fit for a S1 model as a standing human size (S2) is 28mm, right? That's what 28mm means (honest question)? If it's too tall, what would you suggest as a tall size in mm for a S1 model?

I use the Spec-Ops Vortex. A mini I dislike but the old combi-rifle is distinct enough from the new ones that it could be a SMG.

Not to get too off-topic but I seem to remember something about CB stating that Infinity is actually 32 mm scale.

It's not the height of the miniature, its the height where the eyes are.

But yes, they are more 32 mm true scale models nowadays.

So a 20mm tall proxy for puppetbots would fit, from what I gather. Cool!

I've just converted a batch from a fast panda, aleph REM pilot and yudbot. Removed one arm, stuck on a gun from the haqq REMS and sprinkled on some aerials for good measure. Works a treat and dead easy job if you've got suitable bits.
As for the pilot I'll be using the midnight sun analyst or jazz hands interventor

The new Reex are nice proxies for the puppets:
    - They are S1
    - The loadouts can be easily matched
    - The are bio-constructs with structure instead of wounds

But until I get them I will use my Karakuri,
even if it is just to scare my opponent... ;P
