First I would like to say that I have yet to play a game with my Druze, I used to play MO back mostly in N2, and have had under ten N3 games in all honesty. Getting back into the hobby I have been building a Druze force for the last wee while (I mainly chose Druze for the great models and fluff, not to mention a low model count for ease of building an army) and I would like to start a conversation on what people with experience generally view as their overall goal when playing with DBS. EG Generally with my MO it was to try and remove the main threats to my main link and then move them toward objectives. Whatever they might be. I know there are a million variables in a game of Infinity that make having a set plan difficult, such as mission, table lay out, deployment etc. But I am just trying to gather some info on DBS playstyles that have worked for people from experienced players! For example, it seems like with their link flexibility it could be possible to reform a broken link with new members to keep the bonuses for all three turns, but in practise I don't know how practical this is, is it something people aim for?

TL-DR - How do you like to Druze? :-)

The Druze are IMO one of the best defensive fire teams in the game and they have ways to keep that fire team going the whole game; it'll cost you a couple command tokens and some spare Druze Shock Troops past your starting team members but they'll keep the line throughout anything short of being killed to a man: casualties, loss of lieutenant and even Retreat will mean nothing to them.
I like a good offensive Haris team with a killer hacker to push buttons along and Arslan to kill camo guys with a couple Hunzakut FOs and usually somewhere I'll have the MSV2 brawler with the Multi Sniper to shoot at camo troops and CC specialists.
Last I usually have a few cheap remotes as order cheerleaders.

Sometimes I'll swap the Haris team for Scarface if I know I'm not going up against a lot of hacking or camo (he hates Ninjas) but other than that it's just variations on the above for me.

I recommend getting practice with the hunzakuts and Saito. I feel like I sort of live and die by how well I conduct myself with those models. They are key for pushing buttons and harassing the enemy.

I almost always bring the MSV brawler (mostly to deal with camo, odd, etc). I often bring the EM LGL druze profile. Even if he doesn't do much, I've found you really only need to nail that shot once to put the fear of druze into your entire play group. And once they fear him they start to go out of their way to deal with him (which you can use to your advantage).

For the most part everything else I swap in and out occasionally for practice, specific missions, or just to keep my opponents guessing. I've found, despite the 3 arm/bts, my druze still feel very fragile. I've found I often need to play harder and smarter to make sure I don't get caught exposed. But at the end of the day Druze just require some practice and experience. Happy hunting!

Druze feel like they everything, but it has to be in the right place... The Hunzacut is possibly about as perfect a midfield skirmisher as there is in the game - to get the most out of her you'll need to leverage both her Forward Observer skill, and those deployable repeaters. Which means having speculative fire (or even smart missiles) in your list, and SSL2 hacking in your core fireteam. She can even drop a mine around a corner, then blast away with her shotgun...

You can't throw models away in trades, except in the endgame, but Druze feels complete to me without any cheap disposable profiles because you can leverage these tools. Given your average Druze has so many guns, you'll also have plenty of practice with picking the right one for any job. Learning your fireteam compositions, hacking options, non-lethal firepower, and skirmisher tactics is probably more essential than in other factions, but at the end of the learning curve you'll be better equipped than most.

Mmm, i like it, im trying to make good Druze lists aiming for Interplanetario, and changing a bit your list i think i could find a good hold. I think i would change the doc brawler for a spec ops hacker, engineer, doc vol15 one, with a nasmat, its 20 points too, taking the sniper into the link. Then the Pathfinder would stay the same or change into 2 Kameel minesweepers to take one to group 2 and use that extra order for more Hunza love. :ok_hand:

Some good tweaks that would definitely make some difference. the people I play with most regularly don't usually play the extras (spec-ops, limited insertion or soldiers of fortune) unless it's specific to the mission we are playing, so I can't rely on putting a spec-ops into my lists. I like having the pathfinder as they get easily forgotten by my enemies especially with the 2 fugazi's on the board and then are surprised when it FOs or pushes a button. The list is made so that I can swap around the fire team members a little bit during deployment depending on whether there is a nice sniper spot for the brawler MSV2 or if he'll better serve the mission playing defense for the fire-team.
