Cross draw also requires the grip to be outwards. This is probably just an oversight that I hope someone will point out before the molds are made. I'm pretty sure forum pressure got Tai Sheng a sex change after he was designed. I think it's stupid, it's obviously written as a man but now we have to deal with a leg-up womanlet in every list. Recycling this asset means there is probably a zero percent chance that the fem Tai Sheng is released with pistols held, which means we probably end up with the useless breaker combi rifle profile because the Yu Jing mark 12 hasn't got a digital sculpt that they can shrink down to fun size and re-use. So whoever pushed the Tai Sheng is a woman meme, thanks for nothing.
As far as I know, Tai Sheng was female from first announcement, with much "Wait, what? Tai Sheng is a woman?!?" disbelief on the forum. And aren't the Karakuri CAD sculpts? If so, there's a Mk12 there!
I'm glad for a female YJ character, and particularly one that's HI. Prior to IA dropping, we had what? One female CAD HI sculpt total (the Wu Ming HRL)? Way too much of a sausage fest.

What do you mean? If you're playing IA the TA HMG is almost guaranteed to see play, and there are two different combi rifle models, one male, one female, one of which will likely be your TA haris and the other Tai Sheng. In terms of our other HI, the Haidao are all big boys and likely to remain male, ditto the Mowang.
TA HMG is the exactly one male Zuyong I counted. There is no male Zuyong modeled with a Combi Rifle. I said Zuyong specifically. This is the link team I was waiting for when I started Infinity and I feel little excitement over 1 wound 0 BTS pretend heavy infantry.
What's your point? With one slot being guaranteed to be a Haidao and two of the slots being almost equally guaranteed to go to that HMG and the final slot being a bit up for grabs between Tai Sheng, a template weapon or a REM, however you twist and turn it those links aren't going to have more than at most half women. Want to make it a sausage squad and it's not going to be hard while keeping it viable. Your only problem is going to be finding a model for the Mowang you'll likely use instead of Tai. And no one is ever going to use the Multi Rifle model as a Multi Rifle. They didn't even do that in Red Veil missions afaik. And it's not like the starter didn't drop with one male and one female both carrying dead loadouts that won't see much table time.
I prefer three sausages to a squad. I have used the MULTI rifle, in vanilla, and it is very dependable. I would in IA, if only it had a useful skill. Either way calling it a Combi rifle model is a straight up lie. I've run cores with 5 Wu Ming and I will run cores with 5 Zuyong. Tethering your 5 man link bonus to a 55mm PH-3 to dodge spec shot catcher is a horrible I idea. I will use the shotgun in those links because it is as cheap as two real wounds come and because 3 dice on 21s coming from an actual 2 wound model lets you play very aggressive.
Yes, my preferences are a factor in my complaint, that does not make them invalid. That there is a serious problem with how chicks are being sculpted as HI is straight up fact though. It would be less of a problem if they weren't continuously churning out awfully proportioned and posed female HI. Check the size difference of classic Invincibles... ... to these guys
That's fair enough. CB's artists really aren't great at functional design, but still the numbers game is fairly typical CB at 3 male and 2 female (with one of each coming Eventually™)
Maybe it would help if CB hires a female CAD sculptor. That has helped many companies to broaden their view on a topic.
Here! I do! And he critshocked a Brawler Sniper trying to smoke-shot him Too bad he´s not available as a specialst. So its a bit expensive but when it comes to 8+ till 16" he´s very flexible. But to be honest, I feel no big shame to proxy him as a combi guy, if needed. Hmm. The cheap BSG is almost always in my link an my fave, when it comes to CQB. The ML on the other hand will not often be in my Terracotta link, because they have more an active mode an he has more a defensiv role.
The rampant dimorfism is making hard for me to run female HI too. I was greatly disappointed on the starter female Zuyong.s
We found out Tai Sheng was female in like under a week from learning there was a Zuyong character with that name. There wasn't any kind of forum pressure to change it.
