Considering this as an ITS 'jank list' running max AV Ragiks to catch people off guard, but still has the specialists to get missions done. Anyone tried this? When they find out you have 6 orders in one group and 4 in another, they're going to know you have Hidden Deployment or Air Drop. If they're experienced, they'll know Hassassins have no Hidden Deployment and will expect Ragiks. Instead of the Asawira, take an Ayyar and set it up as 3 expensive Asawiras. That'll at least force them to count orders? Edit: Forgot to say that would also buy you a 4th Ghazi. Edit2: Your jank keeps making me think. Since you don't have a remote you want to buff, downgrade the Barid to a forward observer lieutenant. That's another 7 points and 1 SWC saved. You should have one left over from the Ayyar switch, so that's a Daylami Panzerfaust right there. OR just change the lasiq to a shihab and use the barid to give it assisted fire. You already have a Najjarun after all.
Without running a Ghulam order battery/overwatch link (or any other link), I feel like you'd be better off running vanilla. You'll miss out on 1 Ragik, but have access to other AD units. I'd also switch out at least one of the BS Ragiks for a rifle/lsg.
He may wish to use controlled jump though. And also play Firefight :P But frankly, it will be rather hard not to end up gutted with this list before you make use of all your ADs.
If you really want 4 AD and you don't want to show your hand, see if you can add an Ayyar or yasbir (HP L2) in the list. Then disguise it as 3 other models. If you disguise it as 3 muyibs, and put it near a fire team core of asawari & leila, your opponent may think you have a fire team core of 5 guys instead of just 2. It's a little underhanded but that's the point of holoechoes. Just make sure you say 'fireteam core' instead or '5 man fire team'. Let your opponent make the conclusion on thier own, without actually saying so you technically aren't lying or cheating. If asked about the new core rules just say 'you CAN have an asawira in a muyibs core'. Underhanded , but legal. This actually easier in a vanilla because you can use a cheaper Bashir bazouk instead, buy you lose the core trick.
Things to take note of. 1) If you use holo projector 2 to add to your model count, then all three have to have the same exact profile. Which is highly unusual at the best of times. If we assume they know enough to spot mass Ragik use, they may be savvy enough to understand holo shenanigans. 2) Since membership of a fire team is Open Information, a reasonably experienced player will nail down every member because burst 2 is a thing. Holo images and their source model can't be in a team so it should quickly be revealed. 3) Very sketchy and prone to push back depending on the level of acceptable "psychological warfare".
"When a Fireteam is created, the player must declare which troopers are members of it." Taken from here. Besides, remember that at the beginning of your first active turn you will have to reveal your holoecho cluster by putting down a marker, not to mention order count.
1) 3 base Muyibs is a bit of a tell. But its the best you can do with the options available. In Vanilla 3 Naffatun or Halqas are a better choices. 2) I find multiple Holoechoes rarely last past the first few orders. But it is enough to make your opponent deploy differently and potentially waste a couple orders if they are going first. 3) Holoechoing as different models is the only time you are expected to be deceitful. Its the point of the ability. Otherwise it's a useless ability. By then your, the goal of the trick is finished. The goal is to conceal the fact that you have multiple AD troops undeployed. If you have that many orders unused at the end of your first turn you are going to have issue. So trying to conceale it until turn 2 is a waste.
I get it. The goal is a bit different than the vague comments. Against a reasonably experienced player it still won't work well. The crowd of miniatures are not a fire team until the marker goes down and everyone is clear on what is and is not included. The 3 muyibs would not be in it. If you delay for your reserve then it has to be the team leader. So if you deploy second you can squeeze that in before the jig is up.
Thing is, you will probably not use all of them at once, especially with significant part of the order pool being kept in AD "reserve", although extra bodies may be useful. Later on, opponents will expect the rest of the flock even if they will buy the trick. Anyway, I was just pointing out some limitations of the rule in question.
Your order pool will be severely depleted on your first turn. I have tried 3-4 AD troop lists and it is best to get more cheap orders and spread the AD troops between the pools. As it stands if you get first turn your primary pool will be 4 orders after player drops two from a command token.
