I'm starting IA and learning the build tricks, and I love the combo if Shang Ji TactA/Haris/Tinbot B & Haidao KHD. Given both of these models can join any IA fireteam, and even generate the Haris, this gives the multitude of options, I'm trying to find all the options and I'm curious what are everyone preferred Fireteams, I know of the following: Harris Options: Yan Huo (ML/HMG)- biggest guns, SWC expensive, but draws a lot of attention. Shange Ji (Spitfire, TactA) - good gun, extra order, SWC expensive Tai Sheng Mk12 - Adds extra Range bands,use Lt orders, SWC cheap. Shange Ji (AHD) Makes for a Solid hacking Haris, but limited range bands. Panggulling - Cheap Son Boa - Cheap, SWC expensive Zuyong - Generic HI options Zhanshi - Generic LI options Cores Options: Zuyong - Generic HI options +Tai Sheng Zhanshi - Generic LI options Shange JI - upgraded HI options Are there any options I'm missing? When I look at this I find the YanHoa harris, is too 'threatening' and draws a lot of fire. I'm tempted to run a YanHua HMG Solo as a suppressing fire model to just force my opponent to waste orders, and look for a less threatening fireteam to run objectives. Namely the Tai Sheng Harris since its fairly SWC cheap.
I find I rarely do gun battles in IA where a HMG or sniper isn't optimal and Tai Sheng rarely if ever gets to shoot. She's mostly there as LT-order spender and specialist. Zuyong HMG Duo is the all-star profile of the sectorial and I haven't made any lists without two of them in links that I have felt are worth fielding. Haidao MSR gets a special mention for solving a lot of problems. Frankly more problems than does a Haidao KHD solve...
I can't thing of a better fieteam than Zuyong HMG Tac Sense, Zuyong Haris Tac Sense, Tai Sheng Maybe a Shang Ji Haris instead of the Zyong Haris if you have extra points would be better, but that dumb magical haris that can be alone in a group and spend 7* orders is just the best thing ever. 3 Regular + 2 Tac Sense + 2 NCO (Daoying Lt assumed because why the fuck are you not using a Daoying Lt?) on Tai Sheng for those mathematically challenged.
No zhanshi in haris team. Also you forgot all the duo options: mowang, hulang, yan-huo, shang-jì and one HMG zuyong profile. I'm not entirely satisfied though, it feels way too prone to fall appart in case of a few bad rolls. Could use a back-up zuyong HMG but I really dig the missile launcher to keep my opponent at bay as I'm really not confident in IA's close range defense capabilities.

It’s a pretty good list I think. Group 2 at first looks like it would be order starved but it’s not at all. It has NCO for Tai Sheng to use 2 Lt. orders, and two TA Zuyongs on top of that. Giving that small group 8 orders! The only changed I’d do is drop the Warcore, to upgrade the Zhanshi paramedic to a Doctor.
Would you say this thread or the IA tactica thread might be the better place to gather example Fireteams in? I just found myself looking up examples of fireteams for a list, so... maybe a library of it would be decent?
How are you able to have 2 two Haidoa's as wildcards for you defensive link+ My understanding is we can only wildcard 1 at a time.
Thanks for the clarification. I didn't read it that way. So when it states "up to 1 <fill in the blank with tropper> can join any fireteam". That means "up to 1 <fill in the blank with tropper> can join every fireteam of <fireteam type>" Example of my wording (and understanding of the rule): "Up to 1 Haidao can join every fireteam Harris." and/or "Up to 1 Haidao can join every fireteam Core." and/or "Up to 1 Haidao can join every fireteam duo" and so on, correct?
Your example is right. You can have a FT Core, a Haris and a Duo in your list, and have a Haidao in each one.
Correct! Though I usually have one Haidao in the link team and one just loose, you can put a Haidao into every single fireteam you field. You can also put a Shang Ji into every fireteam, but I'm not sure why you'd bother (aside from the HRL).
