There's an ongoing discussion on attaching symbiobombs to kiuutan impersonators in the inferior impersonation state over in the tohaa forum, here.

At present, the attachment rules for mates and bombs are different. Symbiomates read:

    Whereas, symbiobombs read:

The difference between the two should be fairly clear. Nevertheless there is insistence that either the rules/wiki will change, or maybe already changed, or frankly I'm not even entirely sure, there are some language barriers.

So in short: can a sybmiobomb be attached to a Kiuutan impersonator in a marker state?

Think you need to hard refresh. Wording on both says you can't attach to impersonators.

Indirectly related question: can you assign these to units in Holoecho state?

    It was only updated yesterday!

If the trooper is a model, yes. So you would need to be using Holo1 and Holo2, or using just Holo2 and nominating the model* as the real trooper.

*Because Holo2 by itself has three Holoechos - one model and two markers:
    • While in the Holoecho state, the trooper is represented by three Holoechoes: the Holoecho 1 Marker, the Holoecho 2 Marker and the actual model.
The player must note in secret which of these three Holoechoes represents the real bearer of Holoprojector L2, with the other two being holographic decoys.

Seems reasonable. My locals were basically doing that, thus announcing real trooper, but I wanted to make sure because AFAIK otherwise all three echoes are treated equally in majority of cases, regardless of whether they are represented by model or a marker.
