Sounds like no one in your meta knows how to play warbands if you take that approach as "oddly specific" and uncommon. I was specifically calling out the BS21 thing. You won't get that in a game usually unless it's a warband and warband will be positioned to use its DTW to the fullest, usually covering the only approach. Sort of like a living mine. Peeking your linked Aquilla in and out of cover to get rid of a Kunag Shi, Infilitrated Grunt or Morlock sounds like more hassle than it's worth. Sure, he has more chance of survival than a sacrificial Fusilier, but after getting rid of a Warband or two his work is basically done, as everything outranges him.

I don't know why am I so negative about linkable Aquilla, despite championing normal HMG one.

Anyway, the updates go live today and we'll see how it works in practice.

Honestly wondering what your tables look like. In between AD, frontal assault, killing non Warband cornerguards and using their position, just firelanes being firelanes, DZ and cover overcrowding as well as Impetuous models being Impetuous and walking away from perfect positions cover for the Reactive Player can be hard to claim.
Not to mention that you don't have to stay in cover yourself against most Warbands as long as you can avoid the template, Cautious Move in their back arc if they're facing a wall and you're outside of ZOC is another option. Sure sometimes you'll have to eat the template to advance without a detour, but only once and then you have your gap.

As pointed out earlier, even in HMG Rangebands a core linked Aquila still has 4 dice on 12s against anything that doesn't have Full Auto L2.
Assuming everything is always in Cover is something you'd have to consider when fighting at long ranges. Fighting in Rifle ranges you will catch a lot of troops behind buildings and from bad angles. Especially midfield infiltrators and cheerleaders trying to stay in Total Cover, Link members making compromises for Coherency as well as high S value troops like Remotes and TAGs.
4 dice on 18s is no slouch to begin with, but you will be getting a lot of 21s. Be that stuff your opponent pushed up the field or what you find when you rambo the Fireteam into the enemy half of the table in later turns.

27 points for CoC CR+LSG, Drop Bears Bolt(up 5 points)
    19 points for Haris, BSG+Drop Bears Bolt(up 1 point)

This, by the by, is why I said that the BSG+Drop Bears profile existing without the Hacking Device was a bad idea. Why I said that the CR+LSG, Drop Bears profile should be the default profile instead of 'just' CR+LSG.

They don't know how to price things properly.

In general, it looks like the 'rework' was as uninspired as I expected. Foreign Company does it better.

The Aquila FTO MR is a Specialist Operative.
Orcs gained Fireteam Core (probably illegal till PDF gets updated).
Bolts as expected and the CoC guy is indeed available to Vanilla.

That's about it outside of Foreign.

Shouldn't you be a person to know that Fireteams are canonical in WIKI not in army ?

Check the "NCA & CSU's DUO problem".

That was what Teslarod was referring to. If this is written in sectorial chart pdf then its all good.

So we got AVA1 Monstruckers in Vainilla and the option for cheaper dropbears and CoC.
Cant say im too impressed with the change for NCA, its nice but nothing to write home.
Dont understand to the full what was the idea with the mess of links in FC, looks like they wanted to sell the Mercs minis but they are not even designed yet.
Wow does Dashat looks borderline OP.

Dashat can Field a Linked Assisted Fire RiuShi with Zuyong, in a sectorial were cheap BH can make up for 3 members of the link, and access to smoke in spades.
And the other units looked awesome even before this.

Sheskiin makes Mutts look like crap.
Pretty happy the Aquila FTO got Specialist Operative but with that Update I'll probably refrain from running PanO in tournaments.
Unfortunately Foreign gets ruined by the 2+ specific Character Core requirements.

Ramah, Shas and Dashyat... just yeah, wow nice playtesting. Gonna stick to Aleph to compete with that.
Spiral force doesn't look to shabby either, just not B5 Fatality L2 levels of good.
Stratuscould seems like inverted Full Auto L2, but for once we see a new gunnery Skill stuck with SMG/Marksmanrifle, which makes it just good not batshit crazy.

MO Update fair and balanced. Shas eats them in CC for breakfast, funny.

    Hehehe...playtesting.

If people can seriously keep trying to deny that power creep is a very real thing when it comes to armies that get these heavily focused updates like Shas, Ramah, and the NA2s vs these phoned-in "updates" like what we saw with CJC and NCA?

Then I've got a bridge to sell them, unused, cause those scrubs be trollin'.

    We 40k now.
S9 Total Immunity FAT2 TAGs coming soon.

I'm okay with the update, except Shas/Ramah getting to ignore the core ruleset.
Uninteractive 40k gameplay right there - point, click, crit, remove your models, yay.

A 41% crit chance is not going to be fun.

As much as this update feels like a huge power creep, the only thing I'm not okay with is linkable B4 FAT2 and Spiral Corps getting two Fireteam Cores

That's 41% to roll at least one crit. An extra 9% to roll 2 or more.

Gotta love the 9%, autowin is not enough, autodelete is where the fun is at.

Funny part is that Total Immunity units will now just rush DZ not caring about any ARO.

And TAGs will still fear a B3 combis (not to mention MLs, Portable Autocannons etc.).

    How so?
How did Total Immunity change exactly?
I've yet to catch up on that news yet, I was too busy admiring the flawless and magnificiently overpowered new Pheasant KHD Yu Jing got.
