Believe me, It's a change for the better. Regarding your Wu Ming point, though, I believe it to be true. I feel like Wu Ming were supposed to be the Hi Core Fireteam option Yu Jing had but it looks kinda weird now that we have IA. Moving the sectorial towards it's thematic "point guy/gal taking command of several lower ranked minions" would feel good, at least as the fluff and play feel go. CG commanding KS, Cranes commanding CG, Pheasants commanding Baos and so on. The idea of making some of the highest ranked officers Wildcards sounds sweet as well and it makes Cranes better (making the Hsien a Wildcard might be too much though...)
I recently had the pleasure of testing a Bao duo, and I must say I liked it quite a bit. It was a bit of a spicy experience, though getting them out of the deployment area was a bit tricky as they were in a bit of a sticky situation due to the counter deployment had them boxed in, but once I had dug them out it was a smooth and spicy experience that left me wanting to try them more. In the local meta there's a bit of an issue with both availability and price. You know, something that in a less serious meta wouldn't be considered pricey, or even fairly basic, here comes at a bit of a premium. It's definitely something I'd try again in a casual environment, just not as a staple. Next time I'd probably max out on them, they aren't all that filling, so you absolutely need more to get a good effect.
After the new book drops, how many pre N3 armies other than IS haven't had a rework since N3 started?
Bakunin, USARF (post N3 but pre HSN3), Onyx (came with HSN3), CHA, Steel Phallus. Note that ISS has gained more than any of the above since HSN3 with the addition of CSUs, unique Sforza, early access to Regular ABHs, and then CSU Duo. Out of all of them I'd say USARF were the most in need of a revamp.
Only thing USARF needs is a redo on Minutemen. Everything else in their army works fine as it is and they got a new trick out of revamped MMLX. A bunch of grunt snipers coordinating MMLX deletes ARO fireteams for low cost. EDIT: Oh and the Unknown Retard. That model needs fixing too.
ISS has had a rework since N3 started. A rather huge one, at that, and I'm not talking about the scattered models here and there mentioned earlier in the thread. (ISS was basically the least popular sectorial and least functional sectorial until HSN3 - edit: yes, even worse than Shasvastii has been until now)
Aye.. If I ever do use him, I use the Mad Traps profile. At least he brings something that's actually usefull.. which is 2 thing that aren't himself. xD
ISS just got the new 12pt ABH profile too. It's basically a better cheerleader than a CG now with BS12 and Booty.
I think what sucks about it is that the Haris option just costs so damn much. I could see myself taking a couple of Pheasants (Haris + KHD) and a Bao to push buttons and hunt down camos, but having to pay 1.5 SWC for a Red Fury I'm not likely to use feels bad. Having the Haris option on the Bao would be better, actually (although fluff wise is not ok).
The pheasant's profiles aren't irredeemable, they just need better link options. Bit weird that they randomly got a KHD profile out of nowhere though.
