What do we know about it, aside from "requires just three models that can be in a Triad, but that Triad gives the benefits of a full 5-model Core Fireteam"? Is there only one Tri-Core in an army or many? Can there be a Tri-Core AND a Core Fireteam both in an army or are they mutually exclusive?
So far the only one we know with Tri-Core is the schemer, the rest we'll find out in the next 12 days.
I expect if it gives a full link bonus to the Triad, that it will count towards the limit of 1 Core per army at a time.
So, questions answered. Tri-core will grant 5-man-link bonusses to your whole triad and you may only have one device active at a time. That said, it seems you can still have a seperate core link in addition to as many triads as you please. Neat!
It depends; the only profile on our list with Core is the Brawlers, so we might be allowed given how limited that choice is.
There was also this bit from the Spiral Corps: Analyzing Profiles about the Taagma. "The option of having a Viral Sniper with Multispectral Viewer L2 is one of the most lethal options that a Fireteam Triad ( a new Fireteam rule available from March 27, 2019 ) or a Core of Brawlers can access."
Yeah I won't be surprised the Taagma has wildcard essentially making it able to be a core in whatever link it is in. Going to be really weird if you can have multiple Tri-Cores and a Core link active at once though
Didn't it say on the article that you could only have one Tri-Core at a time (at work now and it's blocked)
It did. "Tri-Core: This Special Skill allows a Fireteam: Triad to apply the bonuses associated with Fireteam consisting of five members. s. It must be noted that a player can only have one Tri-Core active at a time. ."
I just see this line "As if the Triad bonuses weren’t already enough, the Tri-Core (this new ability is available from March 27, 2019) option will allow us to enjoy the Core Fireteam bonuses with triads." Where are you getting the other version from?
Aye "It must be noted that a player can only have one Tri-Core active at a time." I do wonder if it's possible to have Core + Tri-Core, but I suspect not.
