The Draal Saboteurs are loaded with skills, BS13, and can be planted halfway across the table (depending on the mission). They can get to objectives as quick as a Clipsos FO in most cases and can have a Symbiomate and/or Symbiobomb. This is a welcome addition to the Tohaa army.

Together with the Kriigel Agent and his pets this is by far the unit I am most exited about. Both profiles and minis look very interresting. Maybe a bit on the expensive side what we already saw but surely a unit which opens up many possibilities. Plus they are damn fast.

The profiles I am seeing look very interesting, and we have not even seen their full complement of equipment. I am hearing StratusCloud is some type of nimbus field, possibly similar to how Albedo works. More mines in the midfield range are always welcome too. Keeps those Igao and Libertos hidden. I really like the look of the minis for this unit too.

It looks like Corvus realized the Sukeul were OP and decided to release something more fair and balanced. They can fill a wide range of tasks (killing, taking objectives, support...), are fast and resilent thanks to Symbiont Armout. They are also great at dodging, something rare for Tohaa!

I like them, and I hope that Stratocloud is a deployable teamplate than can combo with our MSV1 units, like the Nikoul Sniper (or the cheaper Kawaii Sentinels).

One thing that bothers me about the Draal is FD2 and triad. Unless they have other links going for them, they will be forced to make a pure Draal triad to maximize efficiency, a similar problem that the Hulang in Imperial army has. But that's a fairly minor nitpick.

the 30 point option i could see using instead of clipsos for missions with exclusion zones. the 40 point is just not as good as a sukeul, which is prolly on purpose. i think the assumption that cb recognize the sukeul as too good is a safe assumption to make. in core you can make a fireteam with these and gao-rael if you want to be hella aggressive. not sure why you'd wanna do that tho.

    This guy has me excited:

    - Once activated, Stratocloud follows him around, so he's basically a walking nimbus grenade.
    - He has a large template weapon, mines AND an SMG, which gives him all the options in the active turn going around corners, forcing tough decisions on your enemy
    - Minelayer and Forward Deployment L2 work nicely together
    - BS 13 and dodging on 15s
    - 6-2 move

Better than Nimbus, because Multispectral Visors (Gao-Rael, Nikoul, Taagma, Kawaii Sentinels) ignore it. Another tool for dealing with Fireteams instead of Smoke.

Not the full rules, but in the video it says "Provides a low visibility and saturation zone one the ZoC of the troop". Doesn't sound like Nimbus specifically, so @Abrilete is probably right. Another thing to notice is that it is tied to the Symbiont Armor, so I guess you could shut it off by getting a wound through.

From what I am hearing the Draal will not be effected by the cloud, similarly to how a unit with Albedo is not effected by the White Noise. I am guessing this will also be similar to Albedo in that it only lasts 2 turns, but still seems great.

Low vis + Saturation where the user is not affected would be pretty good. Read it OP.

Considering it effectively negates the fire team bones for rest of its triad in the reactive turn, the benefits better be pretty good.

In fact if everyone in his zone of control doesnt get to ignore it, I'd be hard pressed to find a reason to included them.

Believe it was stated to be Template size not ZoC.

Just don't go the full 8" and keep the TL near the edge of your DZ. Should be fine.

I really like the fd2 and triad, the idea of reforming a link to include later in the game seems really dynamic.

Going to play some games with Draal in vanilla today. Will play the stratuscloud as template size since that's how it's described in Helois' latest article.

Do we know if it's a permanent effect? Someone mentioned it might be timed like albedo.

Also if anyone knows what a dazer is, PM me in the next couple hours because I couldn't find SWC in my list for the minelayer so I have one with no idea what the rules for it are :p

Dazer is a deplyable saturation and very difficult terrain zone. Could be useful to drop near Amand or a Nikoul on ARO duty.

Or just to cover an Objective, surround it with Mines and mess with your oponent.
