total immunity does not work against stuff that has the "vulnerability" tag. Also, let the artichoke tears flow
Tohaa forum is going to explode in 3... Jokes aside, this seems like a major nerv to Symbiomates, making them much less viable, especially on HIs like Neema, who I am still looking forward to use in SC. I might as well be wrong here, since total immunity is quite strong.
Yeah, it's a nerf as Symbiomates are no longer a rediculous exception to the Infinity N3 design ethos. On the other hand, they're still strong, ARM 9/12 is really good, AP/Breaker/K1 have no effect on that either. I can see Symbiont Armour getting Fire Vulnerability rolled into it though.
So basically symbiomates won't prevent you from rolling multiple times against fire, got it. All in all, this seems like a good change. It preserves a lot of the symbiomate effectiveness without making everyone playing against it feel like they are being stonewalled. Obligatory is going to be pretty interesting on high armour targets, will probably lead to strategies of chain-rifling the Gorgos before you HMG it. Tri-Core also seems pretty cool.
Only if the trooper has the Vulnerability skill on their profile. I imagine that Doggos in Ariadna will get Vuln: Viral as that's what the Loup-Garou use to hunt them, but if Symbiomates just give Total Immunity then it'll work against everything.
I'm hoping non-lethal things are excepted. It's silly to think about how your total immunity turns my stun device into something that can kill you
These are still wildly broken, just not as wildly broken as before. At least now Tohaa players can't pretend there's some kind of strategy to using them, because before, you were going to use them the first time you got hit like 90% of the time. Is anyone going to take the bombs over these? Because I doubt it, a mate is now like 80% of a wound (at least) and Kaeltar are still 21 points.
I've got to say, as someone playing against Tohaa, that this change will allow me to have fun playing against them again. I really didn't like playing against them at all and my not having fun made my friend playing them not have fun. I feel I now at least have a chance to hurt a model with them.
I'm genuinely happy about this change. Gonna play Neema in SC and with mates no longer being the non plus ultra, I can see myself using that sweet WIP 15 for some pheroware action more often than not.
This thread is way more people coming here and hoping to see Tohaa tears and trying to shove it in our faces then Tohaa players actually being upset Sick.
