I'd been thinking about getting a second Nomad starter box for bits and stuff, but now I might get Icestorm so I can move into FC. And if I do that, I might as well get the Outrage box and expand into StarCo too. Nomads kind of have 5 sectorials now.... Are we the new PanO?
Being a Nomad/Haqq player with a couple of PanO troops, couple of Yu Jing troops and a light smattering of Ariadnan troops currently gives you like, ten Sectorals to play. It's pretty awesome for me as a Nomad/Haqq player!
FC looks like a cheap Tunguska, the only gimmick is the reserved FT really. Maybe on the odd limited insertion game
FC has a great CoC unit and several troops with Veteran, which is like a mockery Corregidor and/or PanO :P
Given how StarCo/Druze/Ikari play I’ll bet that the footy club has some great lists but has limited breadth compared to a regular sectorial or, in particular, vanilla Nomads. And yeah, with just Nomad, NA2 sectorials + QK I’m at 10 different playable factions. With light proxying I don’t even stretch myself (ie. things like Moiras as Odalisques in QK or Dashat; MB as WM or ZY in Ikari and Dashat; or Grrls as Tanko and Janissaries in Ikari and QK) and can get away with only buying non-Nomad models I actually like (so I have a Locust as a random SK proxy, alongside owning Hunzakuts).
Conversions are planned for me Want to convert Bolts, Crocs and such for Foreign and also convert Zuyongs etc for Dahshat
I'm quite a bit behind ( Read: As far back as a prone MI trying to crawl to the enemy AC unit. ) these news... Can someone toss a quick rundown of what new stuff Nomads/Corregidor is getting at me?
Mostly it'll be a Fireteam update like Morats, Shock Army, rather than a full overhaul like Military Orders got. What we know: There's a new special Fireteam with up to 3 Alguaciles and up to 2 Brigada. Valerya Gromoz counts as an Alguacile for the purposes of Fireteams Lunokhod Sputniks count as Mobile Brigada. Lupe and Daktari gain Wildcard. Update goes live on the 27th (one rather long week away)
Everyone's getting their own HI+LI trains nowadays it seems. Not that I'm opposed to it though, always up for an excuse to use an HI. A defensive combat REM in a fireteam can't hurt, I do suppose. Never hurts to have a linked specialist that carries Smoke and a Faust. Sounds neat so far-
Brigada look great, I can't lie. That went from ''Here's a neat defensive REM to add to your links'' to ''Assisted Fire 360 Visor Spitfire in a 5-man link team'' in no time flat.
High move and climbing plus help mitigate that. No need to leave it hanging out when it can stand on a wall. Anyone know if you can choose to not use full burst? The linked pitcher is awesome but I'd rather not shoot both uses if I don't have to.
