Just saw the vid, and I gotta say it looks kinda cool! I can certainly get behind a Zuyong Core and a Rui Shi/Hulang with smoke support and cheap-as-hell specialists. McMurder and Saito are just Icing on the cake for me. How about you guys? Interested?
I’m waiting until the 27th to make any decisions but it at least has my interest. I want to see if all the load outs make it in and that there is a 5th man for the Zuyong link.
I think the 5th person for that fireteam would be someone with "Special" on the list. Maybe that new SML bot Haqqis are getting (it's AVA 1 in there) or an ABH. It would be cool if Valerya could join as well. If the TA HMG makes it in, that a closed deal for me.
Doesn't the Dahshat "Weibing" have a special fireteam? Been wondering why those haven't been put in as mechanical fireteam companions yet...
I'm totally in. I'm already thinking of how I can do it. With only a few key pieces and cool proxies, I can do Dashat, Ikari, Druze, and QK.
Nope, wrong units to get me interested. There's not enough YJ in there really to interest me it's mostly just Haqq.
To me, Ghlam is another word for Zhanshi! Proxy baby! I'm already having fun using my old 1st ed. Zhansi for Ikari as Keisotsu.
I have half of Red Veil still unused, so bring it on! Although for the SWC pieces I'm definetly following your lead and using Zhanshi SWC box models. Is there any possibility that Sforza could link in the Core? Wildcard?
I'm hoping he can at least Duo with ABH. But a full team with them could be cool. I really what to know what the special fireteam is with the Maggy!!!
Dashat feels like the after thought of the bunch tbh, gotta get that nice round 5 so bostria can do the hand thing. The list doesn't inspire me as much as I had hoped, so I'm still on the fence about selling the haqq half of red veil to the bro. I will be waiting to see what the actual fire teams are before I pull any triggers though.
I'm trying to find the appeal but I can't hardly see it. It's another Haqq + merc NA2 army they slapped a few YJ units in. I'd rather play RTF. Maybe if I wanted to experiment with a core of Zuyong (supposing they can get the 5th member) with Kums and Saito. But that feels so ocasional. It will be just another optional list like Ikari for those times I feel in the mood to try something different than an official YJ army. Right now I find more appealing the Foreign Company as it depicts perfectly a high tech cyberpunk corporate merc company composed by professional ex-militars and offers a game experience focused in characters. Compared with that Dashat company just feels like another Haqq based merc army. Btw, I agree, Hulang makes no sense with Saito in the same list.
Sectorial looks great, but you have to look close and think a bit. If you want to be smacked in the face, go for Foreign Company. I think Dahshat has great potential, and looks like one of the more flexible Merc groups so far, maybe the most flexible.
I'd suspect smaller links (haris/duo) if for no other reason than avoiding too much confusion about using his HoloL2, which, not being a L3, he can't use while linked.
You know what. I changed my mind. Dahshat means I can basically play Invincible Army with smoke support. I'd probably build some lists for that.
There are far too many NA2 merc sectorials that's basically no mercs + some Brawlers now. :( It would've been nice to have a few actual mercs instead of this rash of great powers slash fiction (and do we have Kaplan, one of few great power merc units, anywhere in the NA2 at all?)
Smoke and very good cc. Let's not forget about doc+, cheap camo infiltrators with specialists and ava 3 flash pulse bots. If zuyong keep their TA and have some nice link fillers, IA will be hard to justify over dashat or vanilla YJ.
