Well on this point i'm adamant the rules are clear. Doesn't mean i don't agree with you tho. By raw play by intent isn't legal, howether it doesn't mean that it should be, some like me would like a clear definition given by the designer and introduced as an alternative way of playing. Targetless are an exemption to the general rule, doesn't mean i'm not right actualy, because this rule doesn't concern my point. My point is you can't draw lof from a position you're not at. In order to be at that position you need to activate the model and use the skill move, once it's done you're allowed to draw los from any position you travelled during the move since your model is considered to be at every location along the movement during the order. And of you are refering to the fact that i talk about drawing los between two model you are right, because i omitted the fact you can draw line of sight to a few things, mostly model but also marker, and any point ONLY when the weapon as a trait such as targetless. My point is this an obvious exception to the rules and concern so few cases that i did not judge necessary to include it. By the way i fail to understand how you could possibly know my level of understanding of the game since you don't know me. I didn't assume anything about others in my post i will ask you to do the same in order to keep the conversation to devolving in another useless topic filled with little fact and too many emotions. Thanks, that's the point I was trying to get across, but you phrased it better. I strongly suggest that we stop this off-topic discussion before it ends up getting the thread locked, which was the point behind the reminder.
Yeah, so if you're wondering if moving to a certain position would allow you LoF to an enemy troops, check the enemy trooper's LoF to the point you want to move to. If you play more you might find this out.
You're not allowed to do that by the rule sorry. This is play by intent and had nothing to do with the actual rules of the game. Many people do it, i have nothing against it, but in my meta we use the rules we found in the book or on the wiki. In infinity you do not wonder, you hope, act and check, if you can good for you if not you wasted an order and there is nothing you can do about it. Envoyé de mon LG-H815 en utilisant Tapatalk
Until people start getting warnings for bringing this up it's not gonna stop. Intent is default mode of play for the worldwide community, as near as I can tell, and then you get people like @Regnator or @Wolf who don't seem to play the game much coming in and saying "this is how it is."
Under the los section of the n3 rulebook and the movement rules. I can't help you more than that except if you want me to read it to you out loud. I don't care about default mode of play or whatever i care about what the rules says. I've read them again and again and i'd like people to do that also before charging in and telling me i'm wrong. With pleasure you'll have to wait a few hours tho i'm gming an rpg right now and my players are starting to get angry with me. Envoyé de mon LG-H815 en utilisant Tapatalk
And it is locked, can any thread even innocently related to the intent debate not devolve to such a state so fast?
