Are tohaa players a joke to cb

Other than these items are going away what do you feel should\could have been said?

 

As a new player, I think this is a great opportunity to jump in on some Tohaa.

I’ve preordered everything, and added some Druze and Brawlers just because.

It was in the video today. The leaked picture was from that.

 

Perhaps a year ago that the Tohaa miniature range will be discontinued despite some profiles used in another army?
The time has past long ago when the they could have announced this without any harm to the joy of the new Tohaa sectorial.

If they told you a year ago that they were discontinuing models but that they were planning on releasing a new Tohaa based sectorial to compensate do you think your reaction would have been more positive? I'm doubtful.

Have they confirmed they are discontinuing the whole range? it seemed to me like the ones they were discontinuing were units that weren't going to be a part of the Spiral. Perhaps I've misunderstood.

edit: Want to clarify that the first paragraph there is not meant as a Personal attack. I wouldn't have been happy either if they had said a year ago "Hey we are discontinuing these models but you'll probably get something in a year." It would have been a major bummer.

 

That’s the ticket. Folks being salty would have been salty regardless, so CB will do their thing, folks can like it or not.

Minis that are Tohaa only are going OOP, things with a Spiral Corps home aren’t.

 

At the beginning? I doupt.
But with the time I could have an unclouded anticipation for the new sectorial. And I would have a year to collect all missing peaces I want for my army.
And you would take the fear of everybody that that could happen to his/her sectorial (unexpected too).

What CB gambles away at the moment is the trust of their consumer. The become imo more and more to the 2 capital lettern most of you have experience with. And that is what I mostly fear for our beloved game.

In my experience people seem to get more and more pessimistic as time goes on. The longer we had to wait without information the longer everyone would have assumed the worst. Look at what happened with Uprising. Its possible I'm wrong of course.

But as it stands CB has given warning multiple times now that things will be discounted. They have even given us a good deal of reasoning why.

Now they have said: Ok we're shutting up shop on what doesn't work with Tohaa. And we're trying to give you guys something that does. That seems like a pretty good deal to me. Maybe it won't be what I want exactly but its better than nothing.

 

I don't get it, we finally got some new minis that are going to be in both vainilla and SC and no profiles are being removed.

If you play tohaa on a regular basis you sure have most of the profiles being discontinued from production, and if you don't you'll have some months surely to get them, maybe we get resculpts or maybe repackages or maybe dont, who knows.

I see it as a positive sign for the future of tohaa that we got some really nice and new minis and all but 1 is a new profile!.

 

I already said it in another thread:
I think without a Vanilla Tohaa Starter Box the faction will get a lot less awareness in retail and won't attract any new players. (which is a huge loss, if you ask me)
this might change again, but i guess not in the near of future of several years.
