I believe in the video Carlos says something like the gateway collapses? But I could be misremembering. The Acheron gate is supposed to be a particularly long distance wormhole and particularly unstable as well isnt it? I believe they state somewhere there a good deal of the ships that enter never even make it out the other side.
Yeah, Acheron is very long distance making it dangerous to travel and greatly limiting how much can come through it, however it's this same instability that makes the exit vector unpredictable allowing some ships to slip the blockade. Most of the ships that get through are small, often single seat Shasvaasti Stealth ships, but every so often a bigger one gets past, like in the 3rd Offensive.
Yeah, I think they've been using words like "collapsed" and "fell" to describe what happened. But what's that actually mean for a wormhole? I mean, around here the interstate highway system closed down about four times due to various blizzards(the roads were officially declared closed with vehicles posted at some on ramps to prevent foolish travelers embarking onto closed roads). The roads typically reopened the next day. Similar situation with some of the passes across the Rockies. Is that the highway equivalent of the gateway collapse? Or is a gateway collapse more like a bridge collapse?
I am not sure, but when Bostria spoke about Kiuutan Imposter he said something that sounded like Inferior Impersonation. He also said that Kiuutan Imposter isn't as strong as Speculo killer. So specualtion time: paper markers in the box contain only Impersonation state L2 marker Kiuutan Imposter also looks like shooting unit and not CC specialist So what if there is new Impersonation rule that allows you to use only L2 state and it has worse infiltration ability (you cannot deploy it inside opponents deployment zone and you need to make a WIP roll to deploy in the opponent's half of the table. This will also make a sence with fluff about Speculo Agents in 3rd offfensive
Of course, but I relisten video and I am pretty sure Bostria said that Kiuutan Imposter has Inferior Impersonation. So we can speculate how different it will be.
One or two years ago, when we were whishlisting troopers for the Triunvirate Sectorial, I said that it would be nice to have an Impersonation trooper, but one specialized in shooting for killing LI, not your standard Monofilament Impersonator. If it comes with a Viral Pistol and a Light Shotgun, I'll ask Corvus Belli for my share of profits from every model sold :p
Well Kiuutan has 3 loadouts if we take profile from rulebook in the box as complete. One is armed with combi, one probably with some type of shotgun and third one looks like he has more than one range weapon.
Didn't the tohaa exalt these two races? So they are more likely to be accepted within their ranks than humans, don't you think?
At 19:15 Bostria also mentions something he calls Stratoclauth(?) (not sure I'm hearing this correctly): . I wonder what that is.
Yeah, Stratocloud, it produces a Nimbus/low vis zone centered on the trooper from what was said in earlier videos.
We don't have the full rules yet, but it could just affect the bearer like Albedo, or maybe it doesn't need a WIP roll like Nimbus Sphere does.
My first reaction was to assume it was similar to the way the Dawn Wormhole collapsed when it was redirected with the faulty Digester tech. Ie: Wormhole disappears No access for X Ammount of time till it naturally stabilizes again.
