Hopefully Al Fasid will be able to link with friends. Right now RTF seems to be leaning on Bioimmunity, Regeneration, and Automedikit for resilience rather than armor (except Mag and Fasid) and visual mods (except Tuareg). Unfortunately those are worse since they largely keep you from dying once you're down and not from taking the wound in the first place.

@Errhile It does seem like you got especially unlucky, right? Maggie shouldn't die that easily and the FK Spitfire seems to have been especially lethal.

Maghariba probably wouldn't go down so easily, but I managed to catch it out of cover. Full link bonuses on top of BS 14 also helped.

As for the dice - it was a pretty even game, we both had a similar number of crits and high/low rolls.

That will do it to most things. I love mags but she can go down hard. Gotta keep her safe or go balls deep.

True.Maggie had Cover vs. the Missile Launcher FK, but the Spitfire FK was able to maneuver around and catch her out of Cover. Which, basically, did the thing.

It got downed faster than you would expect it to ofc, but expensive pieces in SF still have pretty low order absorption per point compared to more popular ARO chaff. On top of that, TAGs can be handled by specialized tools that bypass their "strong" points altogether, making the plan of leaving TAG anywhere accessible very inefficient.

"TAG in SF" is more a desperate Turn 3 play in zone control missions rather than anything solid, unfortunately.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of regeneration/auto medkit as a form of resilience either. The opportunity cost and chance of failure is often too high to be worthwhile. In my experience they have more value in potentially causing an opponent to waste an extra order to kill something to prevent it from getting back up then it does in actually saving a life.

Those skills are pretty useful, but they fall flat in an army which has so many doctors around already.
Why spend an order regenarting hoping your dice roll well when you either have a linked or a mid-field doctor close by.
Bioimmunity atleast has the niche of granting Khawarij extra armor against shock or viral. I guess that's something.

Well, to be fair, if your opponent spends extra orders to finish your folks off, those aren't orders spent on killing more of them. So that's a form of resilience, sorta.

Problems are, regenerating units are expensive, so order expenditure per point may still be not high enough, and then doctors can cause same behaviour, as it was said already.

Yeah, with an army like Haq where everything is a doctor plus, people are already going out of their way to murder your stuff so it can't be fixed. Regeneration/automedkit don't really force more of that behavior. If i've got an Asawira haris that's gone super deep and its more order efficient not to have the doctor try to fix him, then I'll occasionally try it, but more often then not he's being followed by a Muyib or another Asawira that has doctor and then it's much better to have them do it.

Can you use a coordinated order with regen? If yes, I could see some corner case value where if you've got 3 or 4 unconscious troops with regeneration, it might be worth to use a coordinated order to try and get them all up at the same time.

You can coordinate regen, but like you said, it’s pretty situational. I’ve never personally had a chance to do it.

Yes you can, which is why Zhayedan having Automedkits instead is so annoying.

A pic from the BoW book vid, he looks to be a CQB focused HI or super soldier. I'm leaning more towards HI, the shoulder armor looks like the armor on the Fasid's calf, and the synth-muscle feel of the arm, rather than cloth or leather.

Other than they haqqi-looking guy when they mention a campaign revisit, I got little to no RTF vibes.

In the other videos, they show off some other Haqq art, like a bigger version of that RTF silhouette pic the other day.

Anything new? I thought I’ve seen everything so far ... I’ll need to go back and rewatch.

We might still see a crossover unit or two between dashat and QK or maybe even rama

It might be a new spec ops sculpt. Although that soldier is the silhouette used for the RTF teaser.

Looking at it again, it's definitely a heavy infantry piece. The shoulders and upper arm resemble the Asawira and Janissary armors.

I'm becoming more cautiously optimistic about stuff like Brawlers being made available to QK. I was hoping for some mercs in Ramah as well but that may or may not suit the fluff/design direction of RTF.

But with all the love CB seems to be giving mercs since Uprising, you never know.
