This seems to be a new alien type, in what looks to be a Yu Jing city This is the silhouette that was in the CB twitter post earlier today. New Shas design? Looks CA. New Haqq guy, looks to be a CQB HI Not entirely sure who this is, but her color scheme looks PanO Hooded Badass, looks merc. More Black and Yellow, this time it's Alita.
Haqq looks... Haqq. Practical above all. Mercs will be a colorful bunch as usual. Shasvastii... "Hey, we're the stealthy ones, nothing says "stealth" like a nice, shiny, red paintjob!" :P New Tohaa minis are cool, if a bit static.
Really liked the "maybe Speculo" lady with the predator mouth, but not happy with the red colours being used again...too much red used on CA, it ends up appearing a little bit monotonous on the creativity part and this vivid red are not something i would connect to a Shas color... I know i can paint them any color, but the official color of the art gives overal tone of the army (at least for me...) it's still a small glipse so i can change my opinion when the miniatures are revealed. On the other side, new Tohaas are really cool.
Man, I'm really dirty that they've bundled Saito in with a bunch of minis I am never going to contemplate buying. Looks like Nakadai from Outrage remains my Saito proxy!
Well the official colour palette of CA troops has mostly been metallic black, with a salmon red and off-white trim. Shas look to just be embracing the red and white parts. Kinda like how with Nomads, bakunin go into white and orange, while tunguska goes into black and red.
On the bright side the general release one will look just as good and hopefully actually have his sword out as well.
Really like the new Tohaa/Spiral models, only thing I'm not sure about is the head of the one that looks like she's wearing a lab coat. Curious to see more Shas stuff too.
I have the feeling Shas redesign is gonna fall into the boring "all CA units look the same" trend every army is having recently. 3D sculpting is killing the special looks of different Sectorials. Which preorder is Saito? The Tohaa box with the shameful Taskmaster copy/paste?
