Well apparently CB "doesn't" count a factions which are "reusing" existing models so Dahshat, Foreign Legion should (probably) not be counted. This would result in known new factions so far: 1. Ramath 2. Spiral Corps (seems a lot of new models) 3. IA (pushed to 2018) 4. Shasvastii 5 ?
Are you sure they didn't count it? I think they just don't count the small reworks like MO towards the limit, so my opinion is: Ramah Taskforce Spiral Corps Foreign Company Dahshat Company Shasvastii It has been already said IA does not count towards the 2019 releases.
I don't know more as well... just remember last year what counted towards 'release' and the teasers till today. Ramah was confirmed at the seminars. Spiral Corps is obvious. ;) Foreign Company, Dahshat Company and Shasvastii have being teased as well.
Hmm, maybe you are right... but Foreign Company gets 'new' models. But nevermind, we will see. I am really excited for the Aristeia! character rules. ;)
On top of the Spiral box ? and After that said Spiral box ? My feelings are mixed. I feel like it would make more sense to get the 2p box out before the big box. If I were to take into account : 1. that Shasvastii and Tohaa have been a bit starved in terms of releases and thus are expected to both receive quite a lot of attention this year (meaning lots of new models). 2. New 2p boxes are usually out every other year 3. Aliens perhaps wouldn't be sexy enough to get new players to 2p boxes Then what would make sense (to me) would be a big box for Tohaa and another big box for Shasvastii. As I said I am both speculating and wishlisting here.
I wonder if Tohaa got their asses kicked by Fenrig Imperative though... It would be really return of an old enemy :)
Yep, I do - Ikari & StarCo. And if Dahshat hits the floor, I will add those Mercenarys to my main faction.
Bostria did say some of the new factions would be totally unexpected. Five released/re-released Sectorals in 2019 plus NA2 ones. RTF and SEF in Deadalus' Fall, that leaves three more. Potentially Spiral is one, potentially not. Leaves two more. So we could see any number of cool options later on with that. In this book they'll be RTF, SEF, Spiral, Foreign, Dahshat, plus TJC fluff, reworked CJC, NCA and QK. Five new (Shas change so much as to be effectively brand new) options in Army, three updated ones.
Oooh, what if we start seeing some cracks in the CA and we get Sygmaa vs Shas? (that way "Tohaa" get two major releases this year )
Well, Spirals and Dashat are certainly unexpected. I'm fully behind complicating Shas narrative a bit. What if they'll decide that siding with humanity offers a better long-term chance of survival? (People keep repeating that Shas will never ally with humans after the colony bombing, but I think that case is open) What if another Shas group, not aligned with CA, will show up?
I haven't played in a while, but since Corregidor has become a little outclassed by StarCo in certain areas (Won't give up my Iggy or Gecko). I welcome these new Merc companies especially when that Brawler box drops.
Corregidor really doesn't need much. Mixed links Starco-style would be amazing for them. Combine that with a reasonable buff to geckos that brings them to Kirza and SWAST level and I would be beside myself.
I'm just going to post the link to the twitter post with the video because I'm too damned old this morning: https://twitter.com/InfinityTheGame/status/1103655550515056640/video/1 Is that one of the old Dire Foes sets or the new one in front of the Warsenal terrain that they're showing off?
Some things I would like to make stuff interesting. Jaguar Haris profile Mixed Alguacile and Brigada Wildcat Wildcard Gecko Duo with Brigada Gromoz joining Wildcats or Brigadas Add another couple of Merc units Finish it off with adjusting some SWC costs and call it a day.
Left is the new Dozer from the Ariadna support pack, then the Civvie from Konstantinos vs Yasbir, then the new Zhuyong BSG from the IA starter.
