^ Apparently this is Saito ... can’t say the sculpt is more appealing. I’ll be sticking with my Outrage Ninja.

Don't worry, you'll get a chance to buy a much cooler one with a katana later as a regular release...

That brawler is sweet. Idk if it’s worth buying the book though. Maybe if CB indicates improved edits of any sort ...

I like the Saito, would have been cooler with an Aleph Combi tho.

Hackers with WIP 12... not the greatest of investments, unless they're more like dudes who shank guys and steal their guns and maybe do a little hacking on the side (Bandits).

I do love that they kept the ghost-hair on Saito.

I really love the Brawler designs coming from an organized group of mercenaries point of view. I had hopes they would all each be individuals but a standardized gear loadout makes more sense. So thankful for what looks like more magazine pouches on the models.

Really disappointed with Knauf. Never understood the "Primary in one hand, knife/secondary in the other" poses. Obviously the situation could be that they are out of ammunition and such. But as a pose it seems weird and they don't fit in well. And Arslans got the tactical rock and a weird twist. When I was trolling WGC about it, it seemed much worse. But now I've come around to the miniatures actual design. Looks like he came out of doing PT (or whatever that looks like for him) and is ready to kick some ass.

I'm excited to get the dire foes box anyways!

Knauf gets a lot of use out of that knife in Outrage so I'm not surprised to see it in his hand, though knife & pistol like Le Muet would have been more cool.

What would be really cool, it's Le Muet miniature as an homage to Thane Krios :)

Hmm, now I'm wondering how easy it would be to swap his sniper rifle for a revolver...

Doesn't look that hard actually, depends on how much the stock and forearm come into contact.

Cheapest AHD in the game with super easy access to SSL2. Brawler AHD is their best profile IMO.

Well, it's not really useful profile unlike a sniper or a combi brawler and also has a different look. Nice to use as a Spec-Ops for NA2 player I suppose.

@TheDiceAbide beat me to the response.

I think you two need to reevaluate the 17 point Brawler AHD especially within the context of DBS.

Super cheap king of specialists (hackers are awesome in Season X objectives/classifieds) and linkable when appropriate to force HI, REMs, and TAGs to reset through DBS' repeater net and royally messes with stealthed hackables that normally move with impunity. WIP 12 don't matter much when it's forcing resets and limiting mobility.

Also linkable BS 12 with shock/AP ammo types.

I mean AHD are probably the least of the hacking devices currently. So why over pay for one? 17 points! Yeah WIP 12 isn't great, but it's not going to be your primary specialist (hunzakuts) and you won't be using it to attack high WIP hackers, so it's not all that bad either.

I think it's the second best brawler profile next to the MSR. The Lt probably gets chosen more often, but because of necessity for a cheap LT.

In Druze it can be protected by a KHD pretty easily too.

Hmmm- if you guys rate them so highly, I'll give them another try. Only ran one once and it wasn't much use. But I could see buying one on its own to up the speedbump factor of repeaters.

But in a link? Seems like an arrangement that won't often be a great use of resources. Don't get me wrong, I play Nomads and love me a linked AHD for slowing down HI etc. However if the linkteam is there to do anything else (like ARO duty with guns), the AHD becomes the weak link... kill it to make that MSV2 sniper rifle lose effectiveness for example, or to make the LGL stop grinding down your grunts as fast.

If the link is built around the AHD, maybe. I wish a KHD un the link could be better protection for it, but that every-program-is-a-different-skill thing is one of the dumber things in N3 right now (along with all types of mines being different skills to lay, etc.).

I think the secret to fielding the AHD is to have link reinforcements built into the list and to make the AHD's inclusion situational to the threats.

@Savnock, where did this "every-program-is-a-different-skill" come from?

EDIT: Ah never mind, I see the skill tag with each program.
