but its not in a box, just a single Spitfire blister. Nontheless, this is good news for all of us who held back on purchasing the old sculpts.
A second blister might come in a few months, which is hopefully a BS loadout, because it is missing as a model. This leaves us again with only two sculpts, but since the style looks quite the same to old ones, they could leave the Rifle sculpt on the shelfs.

I think blisters is the way to go for a trooper that can't form a Core link, I'm willing to bet the Spitfire is by far the most commonly taken profile because of Muyib Haris.

I think a second generic or even Doctor sculpt would be enough for most players. How often do people take an AP Rifle or BSG Asawira that isn't a Doctor?

Not that often, but in LI I use the AP Rifle in a Duo, sometimes also as Lieutanant.

Its a bit beefier than the old one, It looks more like an HI..But not huge improvement.

I think its more of them converting all the old sculpts to digital designs. perhaps since its a fairly in demand sculpt they may need to redo thier molds to new standards. molds do have a limited life span. Even the last set of Muyibs weren't in need of a resculpt but being the HB core they are were in higher demand and the molds may have needed redoing.

So a Spitfire and a generic covers your needs? Sounds like blisters are the way to go, I appreciate not having to buy a box of 4 models when there's only going to be 1-2 on the actual table.

It’s chunkier than I was expecting, but I like it.

Nope, Spitfire, AP-Rifle and two Boarding Shotguns, for a AP-Rifle/Doc Duo and a Spitfire, Doc, Whatever Haris.

You make a lot of sense;) The only other other reason I could think of, why they did it, is bbecause they want to be their range in the new, easy to assemble way.

I personally like the new sculpt. Its not awesome, but decent and thats good enough for me.

I really like the sculpt, and I think blisters are the way to go with the Asawira, because they don't even have fireteam: core, and most people are probably only going to use one or two

Their armor is over-elaborated and looks more CA than Haqq to me.

I am very mixed on this sculpt...I love the slim HI look that the Asawira had. They are fast, athletic, predatory. Similar to the Ayyar. I look at it and I see a big hulking HI, but it could also be the render is poor, and once we have the mini painted it will look better (there have been plenty of examples of this).

Exactly my thoughts, @theGricks. The pose is fine, but it lacks the athleticism and grace of the early Asawira. I also miss the sword. Although I didn't really want to have to use it, the lighter Asawira as a CQB/melee combatant was visually distinct from the chunky, long ranged Janissaries.

But perhaps this is simply the render. Painted up, this model may work better. If only I was able to paint like Angel and work similar magic!

This is because I just bought the old one for a tournament that I'm not going to be able to go to...

I like it. I agree that we don't need a box for these guys. Two blisters are enough.

A box would be overkill. We just need a blister with the AP Rifle (probably a combined blister with the arm-swap for the Shotgun like some of the new HI blisters) and this guy.

Those ass wings are downright bizarre. Other than that, he looks much better than the old Partha-posed one.

    Fully agree.
These strange details aside, Jan doc could be a decent proxy for Asawira doc in HB (to avoid confusion). Granted, this Asawira still looks a lot more high-tech thanks to all those mechanical "muscles" and elaborated joints. That's nothing new though.

That butt armor was always there, though placed a little wider.

Looks very Haqq to me, their HIs had always this kind of Post-Apo feel to me. More down-to-earth than whan PanO and YJ had created.

imho I like the new one as well, but still it's a render, some parts can still change, like Kiss&Butt

What's going on with this guy's shoulderpads? Why do they look like they're covered in plastic?
