    I don't see why not, you're just putting your equipment next to someone who's definitely on your side after all. Just be aware they could still shoot a koala to generate the template.

    If they deploy deep in a corner it looks like you could even block them with the Lunokhud's silhouette alone. Correct me if I'm wrong, but an unconscious REM stays on the field as an S4, right? So the Fiday would need to dump 3 wounds into it to even remove the roadblock.

    Providing he survives the 2 dam 15 hits, yes he would need to kill the rem properly to be free.

    though good to know i just pin Imps with CK's, its going to mean i dont really have to risk anything (positioning/deployment not withstanding) to stop them.

    I've used Pupniks to do it. "Enemies perceive an impersonator in the Impersonation-1 or Impersonation-2 state (IMP-1 or IMP-2 Marker) as an ally." does not say that the impersonator acts like an ally which would allow movement through equal and lower S sizes. To move through or over would require going into B2B contact with the unit ending the Marker State.

    Yeah, if I know my Chimera is gonna die I'll line the pupniks up as a living roadblock for when they're disconnected. Big pain in the ass to have to jump over them.

    One thought about the Lunokhod - Perimeter weapons are a bigger deal when AD can drop in without a template - as in ITSX, or when they have extra bonuses / utility, like in firefight. Koalas can be gold for protecting cowabunga jumps in your back arcs. So that's a stealth boost right now. I just find them hard to hide on some tables due to the huge base and short range. Overclock and glue gun is potentially amusing though..

    Absolutely. I started taking the Lunokhod for exactly that reason in season 10. AD is terrifying and my lieutenant is a Moderator.

    This is why I often use a taskmaster LT and run him up the board, because if im going into LOL its going to be on my terms.

    Everytime I'm running a Moderator I don't go into LOL. Taskmasters I go into lol in about 50% of games running them...

    90% certain it's because I go "my LT is tough enough to survive this"....

    Putting a REM unconscious and killing 1 cheerleader is a horrible use of impersonator. That's a failure of an active turn maneuver.

    Particularly when it's only 50/50 that it's an opportunity at an LT kill.

    We all run at least 2 possible obvious Lts in our non-Assassination lists, right?

    Every Intruder is a potential on Corregidor unless it's poked out for ARO.
    Like I always say if they obsess over hunting the Alguacil Lt. just bite the bullet for Intruder Lt. and let them waste their resources on a useless Alguacil.

    I've been alternatively running a Wildcat Lt in a link with an obvious Alg "Lt" or vice versa over the last month.

    The obvious Alg + B2 LFT AROs covering vs AD has meant nobody has bothered trying for the Lt kill.

    Simply forcing an Impersonator to opt for a DZ deployment adds 30% to your Lt's survival chances. So with 2 options on the table they have a 50% odds of picking the right one, and 60% odds of deploying in your DZ. So only 30% of the time will they both pick the right one and land in your DZ. A Fiday has 72% odds of killing an Alg with a BSG Surprise Shot. So you make it a suicide play by counterdeploying with a Lunokhod (2 x Koalas + HSG), the odds of this actually working out for the Fiday is 22%. So ~1/5 games.

    For interest sake (assuming no cover) it's a coin toss whether a Fiday Surprise Shot with BSG (AP Mode) will kill a Lunokhod (55%). A Fiday facetanking 2 Koalas dies 84% of the time.

    Which means even if the Fiday succeeds at their Impersonation, they're at 84% of dieing vs 72% odds of killing the Alg Lt.

    It might be the right play, but I don't think it's a good strategy.

    Tl;dr decoy Lt + Lunk escort mitigates single order Impersonator Assination plays

    Good point. On top of the AD protection and the potential for supportware it's good defensive piece and late game sweeper. just gotta find somewhere to hide it. Isn't the Fiday no chance of killing it outright in one order though? Double unconscious and only two shots on the shotgun. That sounds pedantic but it can be important with WIP15 engineers around.

    I just meant in the sense inane imp likely meant 'put it in a null state' by 'kill'. It's worthwhile remembering REMs are quite good at zombie-ing back to life though (with double unconcious, repair rerolls and high WIP engineers available) is all.

    Another thought is that (depending how your meta feels about it) deploying a lunokhod on a wall to hide it could be an interesting play, given the climbing plus. If you face it down you even get a kind of ghetto 360 visor to anything that isn't totally above you.
