>It's 2019 >Still arguing with Kanluwen I know some chatterbots that could keep you guys entertained for hours.
Mobile brigada get an msv2 HMG profile with tactical awareness and the ability to wildcard into any link team. I was going to suggest also TO camo but realised that would be too much: why pay points for a camo state we can't use while linked, I'll settle for ODD.
Honestly I would be alright with that staying. The problem is that it's a serious weakness and Corregidor doesn't really need that, but that could change. I'd rather have a different strength and to keep that.
0 SWC Alguacile Lts would be so good holy crap Nomads have a distinct command and control weakness these days which I don't see going away. No CoC, no fancy LT skills, one Veteran L1 troop. That feels intentional. If it was going to get broken anywhere though, it feels like the tough, self-reliant veterans of Corregidor would suit
If moderator LT's were 1 SWC in Bakunin I don't know what I'd do. I'm really glad they tagged the Moira with the penalty SWC instead.
Command vulnerability does seem traditionally intentional for Nomads. Those traditional strengths and weaknesses have broken down somewhat recently though - see Varuna.
I promise to stay on task if you promise to run this slightly tweaked Gecko profile by the CB staff. Some may claim something like this has no place in the game, but I think it could be a very interesting and unique mechanic that everyone would enjoy. If there are any qualms over the price we could just slap on Religious and Fury and call it a day.
As much as I'd love CoC in vanilla or even just CJC, I'm pretty okay with Nomads continuing to miss out on leadership skills. From a game design perspective it absolutely makes sense that each new sectorial brings something familiar and missing to it's faction before: Tunguska's shootiness paired with legendary hacking, VIRD's midfield toolboxery with their bottomless ammo budget, IA's special ability that allows Yu-Jing to have a second sectorial paired with their top notch salt mining TAK's camo spam paired with... even more shooting? Angrier dogs? Is TAK just a slightly drunker USAriadna? OSS' [whatever they do now] and their blind servitude to an unknowable entity that will surely be the downfall of mankind etc. This is great for intra-faction game design but unless each new sectorial keeps piling on new rules eventually every faction will be able to do effectively the same things. Would this be good for inter-faction balance? Maybe! I honestly have no idea, but I'd hate to see a day where the only difference real between factions is the fluff and paintjob. As for the alguacile Lt, do any of you find that you run out of SWC significantly before points when list crafting Corregidor?
If you can just slap a ML in the Alguacile fireteam that's a big deal, but it will make the 1 SWC LT a painful cost. ML, LT, Intruder, Moran. There's 5 SWC right there.
I gotta say I am pumped for this update. Even just a couple of minor link options would be really welcome and get me playing CJC very regularly again.
