    So, mines are S0.

    Their camo markers are S2.

If there is a mine behind a low barrier ( Full cover to S0, only normal cover to S2), and the enemy declares discover + shoot. When he passes the discover the mine becomes S0 - can it still be hit by the shots?

Same thing with measuring detonation. S2 can see over a barrier, but S0 can't. Do you measure detonation from the S2 marker or from the S0 mine?

The mine is always S0, it's just hidden under an S2 marker.

So the shoot part of the Discover+Shoot will fail because there's no LoF to the mine itself, likewise trigger area will always be measured from S0.

I think it transforms. What about intuitive attack?

That would cancel the marker state but not touch the mine?

Nope. The only reason the mine would be revealed from an intuitive attack is if it makes an armor or bts roll, so it's eithet all or nothing - the mine is unaffected, or it can he harmed.

An intuitive attack that would hit an S2 but not an S0 wouldn't cancel the camo state – you have to actually hit it*.

    *EDIT: "it" being the S0

That's why I think (and would encourage people to play) mines are s2 until they get discovered - so a blast template or intuitive attack that catches a mine's camo marker but not the S0 volume can harm the mine.

Wouldn't that also allow undiscovered mines to attack over low walls that would block a discovered mine though?

eh, I disagree, I think it can be a little confusing for newer players but its ultimately easier to visualize and imagine.

If that's the case you have mines blowing up over walls

No, because the mine's trigger area is blocked by the barrier. The template for a mine has to emanate from the base.

    That's fair.

I still think they should be treated as S0 when hidden by a marker, there's no alternate profile to suggest they transform, and being able to destroy a Camouflaged mine in a situation that you couldn't destroy the same mine when revealed feels even more counter intuitive to me.

Having a camo marker be "invincible" to attacks from certain angles seems even weirder. Also, there should be more ways to deal with mines that don't require you to dodge a template.

You've already discovered it with your Discover+ (failed) BS Attack from the first post.
