If you are in Retreat can you use Lieutenant orders ? Can you use Lieutenant orders if you use command token to cancel a Retreat! state on Lieutenant model ? What happens with Lieutenants who are Religious during Retreat! ?
Depends. Religious troops ignore it all like Veterans or Morats: http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Retreat! See Retreat Summary Chart.
Not so much. Unfortunately, you need to sift through a lot of pages to get to the information. See below how generating a Lieutenant Order hinges on the player not being in Loss of Lieutenant? http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Start_of_the_Turn:_Tactical_Phase Special Lieutenant Order The Active Player, unless he is in Retreat! or Loss of Lieutenant, places a Special Lieutenant Order Marker (LIEUTENANT) on the table, being careful not to place the Marker next to his Lieutenant.
This also indicates that the Lt. order isn't generated when you're in Retreat, whether or not you're actually in Loss of Lt.
From the Retreat rules (it's in bold in the rulebook): An army in Retreat! is automatically considered to be in a state of Loss of Lieutenant. As long as the army is in Retreat!, its owner cannot name a new Lieutenant. If the state of Retreat! is canceled and the army has a Lieutenant, then the Loss of Lieutenant state is canceled as well. There's effectively no "actually in Loss of Lieutenant" distinction concerning Retreat. You go into loss of lieutenant and can't get out of it unless you get out of Retreat.
Further question: let's say my Marut gets taken down during my Reactive turn, but not removed from game. I'm under threshold for Retreat, but my first irregular order is to move my engineer Proxy or my Sophotect and repair the Marut at least 1 STR point. Now I'm over Retreat threshold (the Marut alone is worth 116pts, if not taken as Lt). Question 1: When do I remove the Retreat Status? The text cited implies it's inmediately, so all other troops would stop being affected by Retreat (those without Courage/Religious Troop, that is -.-). That means the Retreat! troops are no longer limited to irregular order of short movement order. Question 2: Can the Marut become my Lt again? Since I'm out of LoL I can nominate a new Lt. I assume I have to wait to my next turn, but had to ask anyway. Question 3: I assume this one is "no", but I'll ask anyway: Do I generate the Lt Order if #2 is a "yes"? Question 4: Another I assume is a no: do my troops's orders recover to regular? I think the only relevant one is the #1, and the rest are just noise, but made them just in case.
No, the text says that you check at the start of your turn. http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Retreat!#Canceling_the_state_of_Retreat.21 'Canceling the state of Retreat! At the beginning of each of their Active Turns, players can make a count of their surviving troops. If the point cost of the survivors is more than the 25% threshold—because an Unconscioustroop was restored to combat readiness, for example—then the Retreat! state is canceled, the relevant Retreat! Markers (RETREAT!) are removed, and the Active Turn can be played normally.' EDIT - the Retreat!! status for the player, that is. But the Retreat! game state is based on that.
