Update to the wiki. ISS can now have ABH form a Duo fireteam.

I like ABH so i'm pretty happy with it. It's not a big thing and would be better if they had a specialist but hey I'll take it.

I might be too mechanically minded, but this unit by unit Duo fix still doesn't make TeamPro work in vanilla, because vanilla still doesn't have any allowed Duos in their army list, nor any rule that tell us we're allowed to circumvent those rules. :(

doesn't matter for them because they are AVA1 in vanilla. I was more excited with them making CSU duo because of the Special Operatives. I'm more likely to use the Sniper or Spitfire for ABH. But nice if I need it.

TeamPro works fine for non-special Duos; stuff like a pair of Orcs. TeamPro is the rule that’s letting you circumvent fireteam restrictions in vanilla and use the default composition rules (i.e. all the same unit).

Neither of those lines tell you you're allowed to ignore the Common [Fireteam] Requirements, only that you're allowed to use the Fireteam: Duo skill and that you're only allowed to use it on models that has the skill - something that is allowed by default in Sectorials.

Ergo, either the allowance to use Fireteam: Duo skill automatically allows you to form a Fireteam: Duo regardless of the Sectorial Army List, or TeamPro doesn't work for the same reasons that ABH weren't previously allowed to form Fireteam: Duo in ISS.

Personally, I consider Fireteam: Duo to be sufficiently differently formulated that my interpretation has been that Fireteam: Duo doesn't care about what the Sectorial Army Lists say anyway, but that hasn't been a popular way of reading it on these forums.

    What?

    http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Common_Requirements

    - To use this rule the player must field a Sectorial Army List, an Army List that specifies that Fireteams are available, or have a Special Skill, piece of Equipment or Hacking Program that allows its use.

TeamPro is a hacking program that allows the use of Fireteam Duo in Vanilla.

    - A Fireteam can only be composed of those troopers where it is indicated that they are able to compose Fireteams.

TeamPro indicates that "Players can only apply this advantage to those units possessing an option with the Fireteam: DuoSpecial Skill on their Troop Profile"

    - A Fireteam must be composed of troopers belonging to the same unit, or of those that the Sectorial Army List specifies are able to do so. Some special Fireteams can ignore this Requirement, as specified in their description or in the Sectorial Army List.

TeamPro already restricts us to troopers belonging to the same unit.

    Seems pretty cromulent to me.

I think you're using my logic there (which would mean that inside a Sectorial you don't really need to have Duo on the Sectorial Army List -> Duo there is only for increased clarity and visibility, not function), because I'm not saying that you've been disallowed from using the skill (which is what you've marked in bold), I'm saying that if you go with the logic that Duo has to be on the Sectorial Army List then you've been unable to actually activate the Duo skill (even if you're allowed to use it) by using TeamPro because the vanilla Sectorial Army List contains no Duo Fireteams at all even if the use of the skill becomes allowed, just like in Sectorials.

@Mahtamori after this exchange I at least understand the point you’re trying to make. For the most part CB is able to sidestep it via AVA limitations and profile pruning, but the updated ISS bounty hunters are an example of where that fell through.

Because @ijw is the closest thing we have to an official Rules Guy at CB, at least in terms of getting answers.
