Honestly both is a solid option in the right situation. If you can set up two AROs on one line/objective then you can have MML2 on one unit and the other gets the Jumper bonus. That's a great way to force some tough calls on your opponent.
@deltakilo It's been a lot of fun discussing things with you as you've refined your OSS opinions. It's rare that a faction can not only have a talented player, but one who is able to communicate his success to others. I also appreciate that you want to do the Deep Dive towards gaining real competitive mastery of the Sectorial. Your record is something to be proud of, and I'm glad you'll continue to do work with OSS.
MM2 also has little effect against Impetuous or other troopers that don't have cover, making the Apsara buff more effective against your average warband or bike.
That's a fine point too. We tend to always associate MML2 with "+3 BS" since it's so common for a unit to have Partial Cover. But there are plenty of situations where they don't have Partial Cover too...
I've got a lot of JSA running around locally. It really puts them on the back foot to have Yojimbo in such a bad spot I have found.
Mcdoggo who locally is a nightmare is alot less tough when he is running into OS volume of quality ARO.
I would just like to add a thing. We tend to think "assisted fire = +3 BS", which is usually similar, but may be false. Assisted fire will only give shock damages if the target has no cover, whereas the apsara will still give her 13 base BS. I find it better to shot impetuous targets with the apsara's bonus, since it's usually a face to face versus their smoke dodge.
@Nenyx in practice it's usually hitting on 17s v 16s but sometimes it's not. Whilst the debate is interesting. I'm hoping the build of the list generates some interest. Because imo that's an OS strength. It can hit high orders with gunfighters well above the levels usually prescribed for those builds..
About the mines. Mines are concealed deployable and considered private information, you don't have to tell which type of mine they are when you deploy them, well you don't even have to tell it's a mine. Envoyé de mon LG-H815 en utilisant Tapatalk
You have to tell which Mines model has, how many Mines model has remaining, and you have to declare which skill you are using when deploying a mine - and each mine type has its own deployment skill.
I have always treated mines as private information for my part. Envoyé de mon LG-H815 en utilisant Tapatalk
Well after compulsing the rules (it's not like have work to do or something...) you seem to be right, i have mistaken the concealed quality for the equivalent of the private information quality. I find it strange but eh, we learn new things every days. Envoyé de mon LG-H815 en utilisant Tapatalk
Well, just had my first tournament with OSS. Thry are quite strong to play. Posthumans are totally bonkers though ;P I had 2 almost identical lists, shame on me for taking Shukra, dakini links and Dart with Nagas with different combinations in both lists (together with obligatory proxies). Good that Ive brought Apsara, as Ive lost Leutenant roll 3 times and always sent 2nd. Still managed to get big win against vanilla Ariadna with 3 combat groups in firefight (while going 2nd). Mostly due to fact both Specnaz died to my ARO.... Still got 2nd place only because Ive put IA intro retreat, and messed up with objective (Rescue).
