Bostria told you. Profiles not used actually get sculpted to promote them. Hence I expect a non-SWC ORC box soon. Combi Rifle, MULTI Rifle, AHD, Tinbot
MULTI Rifle has a current sculpt. It's in the PanO starter. With that in mind, no clue if Combi, AHD and Tinbot are enough to justify a box. HMG or BSG are old, so they might be helpful for filling out a box.
What do we think the 5 sectorials this year are gonna be? Invincible army doesn't count I believe. Also I'm assuming mercenary companies like the foreign company wouldnt count since it would be a "paper army" that doesnt have it's own starter box like ikari and druze. Ramah and shasvastii are for sure going to be in it. I can only think of 3 more sectorials that get mentioned that havent been made yet. White banner, svalarhemia, and kum. It would seem weird to me if these were the 5 since in a short period of time that would be 2 pano, 2 yj, and 2 haqq sectorials released which would probably affect sales. Are there any other big factions I'm missing? I can't think of anything for ariadna, aleph, or nomads. The combined I think has the sygmaa and maybe a sectorial focusing on the umbra?
All of these factions have had major new releases anyway. The black N later this year is possibly a new vanilla, or a major change to some existing vanilla, so I expect at least 2 more things to come of it, whatever it is, or alternatively Tohaa gets some love this year and gets 2 new sectorials.
I thought the big black N was a new way to enjoy infinity or something like that? I imagine it will either be campaign/spec op rules or a quick and fast board game like variant that let's use our own collections of miniatures.
Iirc revamped campaign will be in the next book, won't it? Maybe that is just rumors. In either case, I expect at least 1-2 more major alien releases besides the Shas rework.
I've heard about triumvirate being a tohaa thing bit I know very little about the tohaa fluff. Would they be like a mercenary type force or they a full on sub faction of the tohaa. This will be an unpopular idea but I'd love a heavy sepsostorized/traitor theme sectorial for combined army. Take a character from each faction and give them the Ko Dali treatment and maybe has some generic troopers are basically sepsistorized humans. People would hate it and lose their minds because of profiles going away but I'd totally be for it and love the fluff of it and how demoralizing it can be seeing some of the best and brightest turned against the human sphere.
There is not enough out there to pad out a 'kum' sectorial and the game is bloated as it is. Never going to happen. I hope CB slows the fuck down with the new stuff and really focuses on giving everything a place. 3 Mercs, Rammah and Shasvaasti in the next book is believable and enough to fill a year, considering they intend to produce a steady stream of invincibles as well. Older sectorials need a new coat of paint . Plenty of unreleased models in all factions.
Don't know if it's intended to troll the Tohaa player, but why everybody forget them in his consideration?
The mercs didn't count towards the 5 sectorials last year and I'm pretty sure i heard in one of the new videos that mercenary companies will also be released along with the 5. The Kum sectorial is the Gabqar Khanate. It had it's own logo and everything and I'm pretty sure has been planned on being released. As far we the older sectorials in the latest video they talk about they have plans for all of them but want people to focus on the new armies so they are very deliberate on when they release updates for them like MRRF and SAA.
I'm assuming the tohaa would be the triumvirate? I know barely anything about them and tohaa fluff so that's why. I assumed they were like the tohaa version of the hexahedron.
Some of us frog/slug lovers have been waiting years for anything SEF. So at this point I will take anything I can get AND love it damn it! Serriously though, there can be lots of interesting ways to have people turn out to have been speculos. Back when they pulled characters out of ITS for a season I was hoping it was because they had all been body snatched, and getting them resurrected would take time. This option is still available, along with basically any other complete rewrite of motives of any character. Readers will find confirmation "that they planned this since N1" and it will look badass. Year of the Tohaa should be more than one Sectorial in NA2. Therefore it is more likely that there will be a real sectorial for Tohaa.
I don't think a sectorial under the Tohaa banner is coming because a sectorial for Tohaa is just the ability to form core links and some AVA changes. They'll get that from their NA2 offshoot. The Triumvirate Tohaa all being legal and triad-able in Vanilla Tohaa would be as much or more of a boon than a Kaurii core or whatever we are hanging out for. I think the grief of Tohaa players would never have reached the pitch it has if we were enjoying steady model releases. A box of Tohaa mercs or deep state agents or whatever we are rumored to get, all of which gets added to the core tohaa list would be a pretty good year compared to the last few. Opening a new way to play them, whether it is an NA2 or not would also be some spice.
