As an interesting aside to my above comment, Minelayer lacks the verbiage that the minelayer and mine must be deployed simultaneously.
HSN3 also clarified the deployment phase somewhat, giving you rules about when you can move models and measure coherency - troopers aren't "locked in" until you end the phase you're currently in. That kind of goes in the face of rolling immediately, however, because it means that you could have one model that's in a fixed position while the rest of your army can still be freely rearranged. This line from Infiltration, however, suggests that you do have to decide that you're using Minelayer before you know if you passed or failed the infiltration roll: Additionally, after failing an Infiltration Roll, the user loses the option to deploy in Camouflaged or TO Camouflaged state and the Hidden Deployment option granted by the Camouflage and Hiding (CH)Special Skill, as well as any Deployable Weapons and Equipment deployed alongside him, which are removed from the game table.
