@Camden Leisure Pirate Looking forward to it. The Druze are going to be in the same color scheme or a different one? (A Different scheme for each sectorial) Which is the way I paint my forces.
It's the same colours, I bought them when I didn't really know what things were and will run them as djanbazan. I only play 2 others so it shouldn't confuse anyone.
No only QK, I meant I only actually play with two other people, I don't play official missions but we do use little bits like specialists ect so my lists probably wouldn't make much sense to a serious player, Jannisaries drew me ino the game but sadly they don't really pull their weight compared to other units however I always try and run a couple.
Slowed down a bit on this one, hopefully I can get the hacker and maybe 2 remotes finished this week.
First Kamau in my VIRD task force, for the curious I worked from GW stegadon green, sotek green and finally 2/1 sotek with white, the ribbed parts were temple guard blue and then highlighted with some white added.
Years of gaming has led me to be cautious, I gloss and then satin coat so they're bullet proof, matte varnish has proven too unreliable in quality from rattle cans. I may matte them all in the summer with my airbrush but ultimately I'm not a painter, I do the best I can for my opponents and mine immersion.
try getting this : https://www.talens.com.au/115-spray-can-acryl-varn-mat-400ml it drys about 2 ~4 h but turns gloss to nice mat and put just on mini holds well to (but put over gloss make it mat without a "dust effect" or ievn "ice " effect ) o and this price - i have no clue i never bouth it for Australian dolars .. should be about 15 $ to 20 $ max the USA dolars for Talens 115 mat acrylic Vernish
That price is probably for a case of 6 cans. I may need to see if I can find that in the US. I normally use Rustoleum Crystal Clear gloss and then Testors Dullcote.
Talens varnish is common in art shop and can also be found under the amsterdam brand. 114 is gloss 115 is mat 116 is satin The most common format is 400ml cans but 150ml cans can be available depending on your retailer.
Budget basing test, my basing is always a bit lacklustre so I thought I'd try and get creative, 1" hole punch and some kids craft card, slice it up at some angles and glue it down a bit crazy then run my scalpel around the rim to tidy any over hangs. Might even try some layers next...
