Afternoon all, I've just seen a picture on FB of Laxmee and noticed her trousers and greaves are very Druze-y, is anyone with both models able to let me know how the rest of the miniatures compare, mainly the arms and backpack/torso? I'm wondering if she would fit in as a second AHD/KHD and I can't really tell from photos.
This model? Yeah, I'd say you could probably swing her as a Druze hacker. Aristeia! models are about the same scale as Infinity; there are already crossovers like Dart and Lunah.
That's the one, I already use Musashi from the core box. Her expansion looks to come with a CSU and a second Mr. Deadpool too, which tips it into the "worth buying" category.
The core box is... not great. If you just want the models try and find the collector's edition. From what I've read and seen online the Expansions are a real step up though. Not as good as CB metals (what is though) but much better than the core.
It is a really interesting option - Laxmee has definitely some part of Druze's gear. I collect all Druze minis and she'd be great between them. Even Hannibal looks good for some ABH. Maybe someone has a nice photo of those Aristeios compared to new Druze? PozdRawiam / Greetings
CB admitted that they were not happy with the initial Core Box, apparently the 3d printer at the factory in China is way lower-resolution than the one in CB offices. For the initial Aristeia! box, they just sent the 3d files to the factory, but for every release since, they printed the models in Spain and shipped them to the factory. My guess is that if/when the molds wear out for the original Core box, CB will demand a re-mastering to get the starter up to their expected quality.
Guess who bought the Soldiers of Fortune expansion at Gen Con last year then completely forgot about it during the home renovations that swiftly followed? *Raises hand* So, comparing to the Druze female minis she's pretty much perfect in scale, the mini is shorter but that's due to pose. The legs are an exact match and the arms are similar but missing the shoulder/Elbow pads. She has a similar cross-body strap/bandolier is obviously lacking a helmet. Verdict: She'll fit really well once I finish my JSA and decide on a paint scheme. Detail is good but not great, not CB metal but better than most Boardgames I've seen, better than things like the Warlord Metals as well. Once I've amateurishly slapped some paint on her to a basic tabletop standard she should look right at home.
@colbrook good catch on that mini, Druze looking more realistic to run now the brawlers are coming, this is an extra Brucie!
