This past weekend, @daboarder piloted Varuna to 1st Place at CanCon, an official Satellite Tournament and one of the biggest Infinity events in the world. To my knowledge, this is the largest tournament won by a VIRD player since the Sectorial was released. I'm excited to hear how his games went, because I know he used a Cutter...
haha, thanks man, making me blush :) Im writing up the report this morning as a thesis warm up so the post will hopefully be up sometime today. along with a little talk on lists and philosophy. That being said, the whole thing was a crapshoot in some ways. Cancon really is a shark tank of a meta and anyone in the top 30 realistically had a shot at winning if key dice, games, tables and matchups had gone their way. the mission list was Supremacy Decapitaion Frontline Supplies Firefight
Wait, does that mean we have to take all that guff he wrote about TAGs and HI seriously? I'm deeply disappointed, I liked it a lot better when whoever could make the most vitriolic comment would be right about things.
WTH, Daboarder's an aussie ?_? Is @barakiel an aussie as well? Gratz on the win! Love the pictures being put up on FB. Seemed like a great time.
Naw, I'm from California. I just like how the Aussies play the game, and found a few friends there who I like bouncing ideas off of.
Be good for Cancon to go more Trans-Tasman, was great seeing Chris bring more people over this year. Yeah mate, Born and Bread Ochre
Congrats. It feels right that the space-Australian faction should have its first big win in an Australian tournament with a true blue Aussie commander.
I started a Post here for those interested. https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threa...ed-to-stop-worrying-and-just-roll-dice.26858/
Congratulations, @daboarder ! I'm a White Noise fan, so I really enjoy how aussies view and play Infinity! Cant wait to complete my Varuna and kick some ass down here in Brazil as well!!! ;)
