I don't understand what pensive is referencing but calling what I said as being discrimination is a bit far. I also said he looks like a bloody bogun who are stereotypically extremely homophobic but that's apparently ok...

Don't read too much into things friend :p

Discrimination isn't cool, no matter how you try to justify it.

    I'm not your friend.

Neither is deliberately misreading a situation and acting like a dick. So how about we both drop this line of conversation?

My comment stands regardless of what imagery you prefer to go with that ridiculous outfit:
    • Gap model
    • Redneck trailer trash
    • Straight clubber
    • Gay clubber
    • Male gogo dancer
    • That army themed male stripper from Season 12 of Always Sunny
    • Dude that overslept so showed up to work in his sleeping shirt

Whatever is your preference. You may pick what you like.

Edit: also don't understand what he's doing with his fist.

I'm not deliberately misreading here. Do you want me to stop calling you out on your bullshit because it makes you feel uncomfortable? How about putting your comments, (yes all of them on this thread), into perspective? Try to understand the message you're sending to others who may want to join our community and the kind of attitude you're promoting. While you're at it, take the time to look in the mirror; Are you homophobic for any good reason? Let me answer that for you; No. If you want to have the topic dropped, realize your own ignorance and step away from the keyboard. Don't post another related comment here.

All of these bullets, grouped, and in your voice, ring with the sound of naive prejudice.

    He's holding a grenade.

Grow up and show some understanding of the world around you.

I ask you please to moderate your tone and don't start this kind of "fights". So the discussion ends here.

Is not good to enter here and see that kind of comments.

    Respect, please. Respect.

I, for one, am grateful to see @oldGregg making a point here. So, regardless of intention, reflecting on what effect your words have is always sound advice.

[Edit] I posted before I saw Koni's response and I don't want to escalate anything.

I think he's supposed to be making a hand signal for commanding his troops. The "Wedge Formation" is the closest one I could find.

I doubt it's a grenade, as his profile doesn't have them and I can't see one in his hand.

The no armor thing is a bit strange, but he is a well done sculpt and perfectly based on the Manga character.

Arslan doesn't have grenades. There's nothing in his hand afai can tell. This silly model continues to make no sense

Edit: thank you @jfunkd for the clarification

Now it's past 1 am and I'm not going to bother replying to that while dealing with a diarrhoea baby but I'll promise you a reply tomorrow. However, the tone of it can be summarised by this: you are being utterly ridiculous at this point and need to calm down

Not just cause of Koni, but I genuinely apologise if I have directly offended you in my responses. However I do not accept your emotional claims in your outburst. Civil discussion after sleep.

Thank you @Koni He doesn't appear to want to end the hate, however.

Now, back to the model discussion. @jfunkd I think you may be right. Someone else on the spanish subforum commented that it was a grenade, and included some profile-change speculation. But after I zoomed in, I realize it may just be his closed fist.

I also think the sculpt is right in line with the manga, which is cool. As stated before, I think this may be a vest akin to Joe Turner's.

My man! I'm not active for a while and I come back to a new Arslan AND new brawlers? CB, trying to invest my money on adulting but you're making it tremendously difficult

All the sculpts look great. I think they made Arslan in his non-combat gear as a throwback to outrage because he left such a strong impression

You're the moderator, it's a professional hazard. That's kinda like a plumber complaining that his workplace sometimes smells like shit. :P

I apologize friends. I was quoting a popular Electric 6 song trying to poke fun. Didn't mean to offend anyone.

I guess I dont see a lot of my favorite druze aesthetics in the Arslan model. Its nice to hear he matches the manga though!

Thanks for the clarification @PensivePanther I (as I'm sure others do as well) really appreciate the honesty and apology.

I hear what you're saying about the aesthetic though. It seems like a lot of our characters try to branch off from the typical medium armor and sweet helmets. It does tie nicely with the manga, and I think its probably one of the easier ways for CB to distinguish our sculpts.

Thinking about it a little more, however, I think the model meshes a bit strangely with its rules. The lightly armored look I guess works with hyper-dynamics. NWI is on plenty of troops without armor, (correct me if I'm wrong), but I've always pictured it on beafy-er units. I guess he's maybe in an upgraded Lhost? One thing I think may have been neat to see would be the MSV1.

Honestly, if it was just this model exactly, but wearing a goofy druze helmet - that would have been amazing.

Arslan definitely had some form of dermal implants in Outrage, in addition to what appeared to be cyber arms. If he has internal augmentation equivalent to an Odalisque, in addition to dermal armour plates, then NWI and ARM 3 in a tank top isn't beyond credibility.

MSV1 could also indicate eyes that stretch into near visible light spectrums, very achievable for the head of a criminal mercenary syndicate with access to high quality cyber and bio augmentation.
