    Hey gang,
My community is new to infiNity and I'm making two lists to slow-grow people into the game, based off the Red Veil stuff I have painted. I'm pretty happy with the Yu Jing list, but could use some help on the Haqq one. However please feel free to critique either or recommend something completely different.

    Priorities for the lists are:
    -Balanced against one-another
-Able to handle most/all of the basic scenarios.
    -Fun to play
-Avoiding the really strong gimmicks and cheese stuff.

It doesn’t look like your Haqq list has copied properly. Can’t wait to see it!

Yeah, haha, this is weird as heck. And looks like I accidentally made a new post trying to edit it. Still didn't work.

Is there a certain mission you’ll be playing?

We'll do Annihilation for the first few, using 3-5 models. Once we start introducing more models and skills we'll start adding in Frontline, Quadrant Control, Supplies, and Antennas.

Or whatever season 10's versions of the basic scenarios are. Haven't looked much yet.

It's important to have various missions, but more important to keep the same lists for the first bunch of games as learning new skills and interactions is the tough bit.

The lists seem fun! I would personally consider swapping the spitfire khawarij for rifle + LSG, and then the Ragik for a spitfire ragik.

I don’t have a problem at all with FAT2, but some people do, and you have it on two units in that haqq list. Plus, the spitfire ragik is a lot of fun to learn AD with.

You don't really need specialists for annihilation, so I think you're ok. The dr. and AHD should be fine. I guess maybe if you do the swap I suggested, you could also fit in a barid khd to counteract the ninja khd.

To clarify, we'll only target Annihilation as the mission for the demo games, once we're playing with the full 10-model lists we'll be doing more button-pushing things.

    Demo Game: Annihilation
Grow a few models doing zone scoring missions
Grow a few more and do button-pushing
Start randomizing missions for a few games
then people can start bringing their own lists etc

After annihilation, you’ll most likely want another 1-2 specialists. I would suggest an engineer and khd, or sub one of those options for a second doc.

So more like four specialists for the versatile list?

    How does this look:

Not bad, but I would advise to make the Touareg a Doctor, because its such a awesome Specialist. If you change the Khawarij to the standard loadout you can also change the Fiday to the loadout with Mines, because its just awesome if you are having first turn and can pin down Links in the opponents DZ with them. But beware of of Minesweepers! Also it helps to keep your Fiday alive, when a Mine is covering him in his hideout.

This here is great advice, and looks a lot how I've built plenty of great lists.

This is the most important thing. Instead of trying to preemptively build perfectly balanced lists, get them on the table and see how they work out. You'll adjust your builds and tweak in response to things you discover in game anyway.

The high lethality of Infinity really does mean that lists don't often matter as much as in other minis games. They give you a variety of tools, but the fun is applying those tools to the situations offered by the game.
