So lets say we can expect preorder starting beginning of March or so and some more info maybe 3rd week of February? A month from now basically. Is that correct?
I don't think they ever explicitly said there was a book at Adepticon, but it is the "black N" "new way to play Infinity". Book seems likely, but the actual details are very slim on the ground. However, last year did see two books on an approximately 6 month cycle, and there's no particular reason to doubt that they won't continue that for the next while.
I am hopeful that it will be a cooperative way to play Infinity. The game definitely has the mechanics to do this. Nothing like beating down some raid bosses as a club!!! Also Shas-nasty join Tohaa to become team Shasaa
Carlos said in November that another book is coming very soon. I am only not sure if he said in few months or specifically beginning of 2019. I'd have to go back to the recent videos to confirm.
...and that book will clarify all the outstanding rules questions, FAQs, and that 14 page long list of rules interaction questions floating about the WARCOR subforum, right? It makes no sense to release a new book of anything unless everything preceding it is solved.
I'd rather get the Infinity Campaign System out of N2 books (finishing the N2->N3 update), then fix rules.
How many lanes do you want on that bridge between New York and London? Because that's more likely to get built than a book giving you everything you want.
Why in the world do you think a Campaign System is more important than fixing rules? Frankly, the Campaign System should be its own book if it needs to be in a book. But fixing the rules proper should take priority over anything else.
I guess it depends on what 'fixing' means. I can play all my games without running into any game breaking issues so there's no big imminent fix required IMO (although I still don't understand what people mean when they talk about Sixth Sense and hacking interacting). So given its not necessarily 'fixing' but more 'clarifying' with the odd bit of 'refining' or balancing, I think that can be pushed out at the same time as or even after something long sought after like a campaign system.
Because the existing Campaign and SpecOps system is still in an N2-era book (not that there are a whole lot of other rules in C:P). We shouldn't be using ANY rules from that set of books anymore. Also, the profiles listed in C:P claim to replace those in Human Sphere. Except that statement refers to the Human Sphere from N2, not the Human Sphere book from N3. New players are going to be very confused. So, yes, I agree that the rules getting fixed is important, it is just as important (maybe even moreso) to get all the rules updated to N3 standards in the first place!
Stealth, Sixth Sense and Deployable Equipment This Special Skill is not effective against troopers with the Sixth Sense Special Skill nor, for obvious reasons, against Deployable Weapons or Equipment (Mines, E/Maulers...). http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Stealth So it is not possible to walk through the ZoC of a hacker with Sixth Sense using Stealth.
This is exactly what people mean when they say that rules are over-complicated. It would be nice for each skill to have a list of what it counters and what is countered by it.
Ah... so suddenly that peacemaker with repeater onboard in midfield is also a big no-go zone for Ninja AHDs? >_>
Only if the ninja isn't in a marker state and you have a killer hacker with 6'th sense... Which I don't think PanO has.
Fireteams grant SS2 though so my lowly Fusi hacker who I take just to bring REMs/TAGs suddenly is weirdly dangerous. But not really cause I'm not going to kill anything with his WIP XD Other factions though...
It is for the purposes of Hacking. You have it backwards. Stealth allows you to move through a ZoC without triggering an ARO. Stealth says it's not functional against a trooper with Sixth Sense (regardless of level). Ergo, whether SSL2 has a ZoC restriction or not doesn't matter. (Also, do note that all of Sixth Sense L2's effects require you to be attacked)
What has ZoC or Hacking Area got to do with it? From Stealth: "This Special Skill is not effective against troopers with the Sixth Sense Special Skill" http://wiki.infinitythegame.com/en/Stealth
