It has been confirmed as a "valid" exploit for Decapitation if you run a Marut + Dakinis army... so yeah, you stay in LoL (but in Decapitation that means no drawbacks and removing the enemy capability from scoring more death Lts)

 

Decapitation removes Loss of Lieutenant completely, so a REM is a valid LT in Decapitation.

 

While Decapitation does not apply Loss of Lt, that does not remove the requirement that the Lt cannot be an Irregular (by training) or Remote Troop.

 

That restriction is part of the Loss of Lieutenant rules, which aren't applied.

 

That's good to know! I had read that box as more universal than simply tied to LoL.
