Every MSV2 unit is welcome in every faction. Zhanying really work pretty well in link, but thats the difference, khawarij are good enought in vanilla only outclassed by khawarij + AKA Taric
Khawarij Spitfires are a rather extreme measure to increase the viability of a unit, my point is that there's plenty of... half-arsed unit designs that can find a purpose by designing specific combinations inside sectorials. Nearly exclusively that means some form of fireteam. Typically giving a unit an extremely powerful ability that doesn't cost any points is not necessary. Disclaimer: "good" and "bad" are relative and subjective terms. "Bad" does not mean "unusable", it means that a unit that is "bad" is ranked by the poster as being "not as good as some other option(s) that is available for the situation at hand". There absolutely are bad units in Infinity and that a unit is useful doesn't necessarily stop it from being bad, nor does it stop a significant number of units from being bad simply because "bad" is a result of a comparison. Sometimes by design CB is trying to force you to use bad units. Such a Mechanics.
I think the ability to shoot a linked Mk12 through smoke while super jumping is really cool. That could give Rama a far more dynamic play style than the „Ghazi dops Smoke, Djanbazan shoots long distance“ way of using smoke trick we typically see in Vanilla.
I used to think the same, but then I went to a rare rum bar in the Caribbean. Rum can be every bit as interesting and varied as whisky, gin, or any other spirit, they can also all be done terribly.
I though Chromedog was referring to flammability. Ah well. De gustibus non est disputandum. I personally think rum is the devil -- and have said so on this forum-- But it quite drinkable, and tastes just fine -- the good stuff, but that is true for most distilled beverages, eh?-- and good for cooking ( my tastes), although I will not drink it. It's not for me. It does sound effective. However, what will be the sources for smoke in RTF? I don' think we'll see the Mutts in the sectorial. The old joke about the Khawarij was that the mini was Haqq's universal proxy. It never saw play as a khawarij. Mine is not even painted. Thay may change... soon.
The El does not approve of clients becoming upset at losing access to models and profiles only to see equivalent profiles introduced for other factions. How can anyone possibly expect history to repeat itself?
Relax, its a MK12, not a HMG with Mimetism in an edition where you could claim cover while jumping :).
That's not an Order Sergeant, that's just something that takes up OS AVA. (Hey, if it can't link, I don't want to call it an OS!)
Yep. But I could see a setup of cheap, defensive Gulham Link, Al Fasid Data Tracker and a Khawarij Harris working out quite well.
Specialist Sergeant. And it's mostly because PanO has plenty of other MSV2 units already. MO itself has two others and both can link with OS, which makes Spitfire SS even more pointless. He sticks out like sore thumb because PanO has no Smoke and in MO all SWC goes to knights (and he can't link). Deva Spitfire in NCA is a good unit, despite being a souped up Sergeant for all intents and purposes. Not that I mind each sectorial having their own Nisse-like.
I really forget that Konstantinos even exists. I have the model but he sees the table only as a proxxy. In my opinion both his profiles are totally beat in MO either by Dart (same points) or Black friar (1 point less and way better equipment. Just missing the Mimetism).
And infiltration and spec-obs ? I think its main selling point is to have an infiltrator that can hunt other infiltrators and do objectives
