Mk12 and msv2. Cool, a reason for me to deploy them.
Shall we play "guess the army points cost"?

Good, its a box...the MK12 with MSV 2 is a nice surprise and imho ends the discussion if Djanbazan will be in RTF. Also nice to see, that there is a BSG model included.
Now the question for me is, which loadout is the snipershot and will it be the one on which I dislike the use of the Pistol least.

But loadoutwise its a good box. Everything is covered to play wysiwyg.

    Yes, lets.

Could anyone put up the formula that CB supposedly uses? Or link to it?

Oh my. This is very exciting. The MSV is a bit of a surprise, but it will do a lot of work for me against my usual Steel Phalanx foes and the rest of them should help form a few solid link combinations.

I'd wager the pistol goes with the HRL, but we shall see.

There isn’t one, some people try and work it out based on comparisons between models but there’s not a definitive one anywhere.

Also, in the past CB has expressedly asked players not to post up the formula (apparently a few guys were close to reverse-engineering a good part of it).

Mk12 on a Khawarij makes perfect sense. And MSV L2 is likely to make him a very popular loadout!

@oldGregg I'm guessing that this is going to be part of February's releases? Can we have the link as well or at least the site that this came from? I'd like to see the page in person myself.

Anyone have an educated guess as to what it may cost?

I'd guesstimate +8 to +10 pts over the Rifle + LSG profile.
So, 35 to 37 pts. Likely no SWC cost.

Keep in mind I assumed nothing else is changed in the profile (just take away Rifle + LSG, graft on MSV L2 and Mk12). Also, no special discount is applied. Given Khawarij is who he is, 35 to 37 pts is... not cheap. And it is merely a guess.

Whoa, first Mk12 in Haqqislam? Great weapon, and on a such mobile unit... And with MSV. Wow. Maybe he'll get Fatality too? :P
The cost can be a problem, but still he can be very interesting. Can't wait to see the minis.

Maybe the times of definitely not using Khawarij will be over.
    Maybe ;)

That’s actually one of my bigger concerns about this sectorial as it draws near; cost. Does anyone think there will be a point reduction on the khawarij? If not, then maybe some added survivability? If not, I’m still going to run them 100% of the time, but it will be an uphill battle.

I really hope he and the spitfires get/keep fatality, but doesnt Scarface have a mk12? I guess it might be our first for vanilla?

MSV2 is 4 pts, Mk12's are 6 pts, so he'll probably be 37 pts, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's 0.5-1.5 SWC on top of that.

Hold you camels, @oldGregg . Too early to tell.

I'd say they might skim a point or two, but 35 is not that much more than 32 (Spitfire loadout). So I'd consider it a skimmed already guesstimation. Also, my nose tells me CB is more likely to give you some extra free goodies to sweeten up the deal on an expensive loadout than to apply special cost reduction to make it cheaper. In other words, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they've thrown in Fatality L1 / L2 and called it a bargain price at those 35~37 pts.

@Deltervees well, a guess as good as mine... Well okay, it is late, and I can't get to bed because I'm arguing with you over the Internet ;) dammit, but: Mk12 is 1 point cheaper than Spitfire (see: Sin-Eater). Yup, MSV L2 is about 4pts in my calculation too. So - 35pts...

...and I'm off to my gorram bed!

I guess its slightly cheaper than that. 34-36 points and 0.5 SWC would be my guess when looking at an Agema. Its two more than the Missile Launcher with X-Visor. A Missile Launcher is 5 over R+LSG. So 27+7+4 - Grenades and X-Visor.

Either way, its going to be an expensive Profile and I dont know if it will be worth it in the grander picture. In most cases the Spitfire will be outright better and if the Fasid stays the only source of Smoke, it will be hard to include both and have the other pricey stuff like Touaregs and some ARO stuff. Time will tell....
