Hey all, would like some clarifications about the following scenario:

A szalamandra pilot uses an order and dismounts. They then use cybermask on their killer hacking device, entering Impersonation 2. They spend a third order to mount the tag and continue moving.

As far as a can tell, they have done nothing to cancel Impersonation 2 at this point. So the question I have is: Does using the TAG profile cancel Impersonation-2? (I dont think it does). Thanks, hopefully I haven't missed anything obvious.

Sure testers did not think on that odd probability. But using logic i think it should cancel. Remember impresionations means your troop is camufled as an enemy one ( with hacker device we understand camufled in data sphere). If you see a suposed allied troop taking an enemy tag, and the tag star shoting you will suspect...

    Cancellation:
"The impersonator enters base to base contact with a trooper. "
I'm not sure if it has been ruled that it has to be an enemy trooper.

The fourth bullet of Cybermask effects indicates that it only affects the Hacker. No matter how you shake it, the Szalamandra is not a hacker.
The third bullet of Impersonation-2 state Cancellations knocks you out of the state if you enter base contact with any trooper, which is required to mount the TAG.

So you can neither cybermask your TAG nor maintain your cybermasked state after mounting the tag.

Ok seems reasonable. It is a little strange for me to think of a pilot and TAG as seperate troopers, but I think this is the answer.

If it helps to visualize, Impersonation means the enemy sees you as a friendly. So if your opponent sees Bob from Accounting get close enough to a Szalamandra for Bob to stab it or it to crush Bob, and neither thing happens, then the jig is up and Bob is revealed. 'Close enough' is defined for this purpose as 'base contact'

Now if bob from accounting climbed into a filing cabinet, no one would think that weird at all.

    (Note: entirely theoretical discussion below)
So this question has got me thinking, what about (theoretically) a trooper in the IMP-2 state mounting a motorcycle.

A motorcycle is a marker, not a trooper, so RAW there is no condition for the cancellation of the IMP-2 state when mounting a motorcycle, so what happens in this case?

A very fast S4 marker without cover... since having a motorcycle does not seem to give any kind of Fury level (since being frenetic prevents the use of marker state)
